What is your favorite newspaper or newspapers in Ohio?
Now that many of you have posted, I will post my favorites. 1. Toledo Blade- it is very well rounded and gives a lot of local and state information. It is run by the same people who own the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which is a newspaper I can get in print every day, and that I love. The Blade is liberal (Ohio's most liberal major newspaper) and somewhat biased, but it still does its best to be non-biased in its reporting. It's editorials are good and it has a good Op-Ed page. I love the editorial cartoons too. I am not sure about the Sports page or other sections. 2. Dayton Daily News- This is a very well rounded newpaper also. It gives a good deal of state and local news. It also puts a decent bit of national and world news from the New York Times and Washington Post. It has a liberal editorial page and it has a good Op-Ed page. I also like that it has a special city and suburban section that comes out every week, which covers the little stories that wouldn't normally be seen in the newspaper. I enjoy its sports page also. The rest of the major newspapers are just OK or worse. The Columbus Dispatch is alright as is the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Akron Beacon-Journal has gone downhill after it was sold. The Youngstown Vidicator and Cincinnati Enquirer are aweful.

What is your favorite newspaper or newspapers in Ohio?
Some questions that could be answered or reasons why you like the newspapers you picked: Quality of national and international coverage Quality of local and state coverage Editorial and op-ed page columnists Bias or lack of bias Quality of city coverage Is the newspaper positive or negative about the city? Is the newspaper full of fluff or is it worthy of going through every section? Do you like the setup of the newspaper? Is is mostly black and white or color? Thanks for answering these questions and participating in this discussion. :-)

Columbus Blue Jackets Discussion
BLUE JACKETS 3 RED WINGS 1 Jackets raise game Win over Red Wings eases sting of pounding the night before Saturday, January 20, 2007 Michael Arace THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH There they are. The Blue Jackets punched in last night. They blocked 18 shots, delivered 17 hits and their goaltender, Fredrik Norrena, made all the saves, save one. The Jackets posted a workmanlike 3-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on the eve of the All-Star break and provided a glimmer of hope for a sellout crowd in Nationwide Arena.
