I went with Jindal, but I have not thought too much about it. No way on Palin, IMHO. Romney and Huckabee are possibilities. I wanted Romney as VP.

Your optimism is refreshing in this cynical world. I expect a little improvement, but not much to make a real impact. He won't have the dough to increase spending.

Running is great for your cardio and mental health, not always so great for your joint and bone health...I've been blessed with little physical issues for my 15 or so weekly miles.

Why?

Yes. Running my first half-marathon (Virginia Beach 2007) certainly motivated me. I ran it at 238 pounds, which was not easy. I did not start losing weight until I backed off the running and spent more time with the weights after that race.

McCain was third on my ballot, below Nader and Baldwin. Not sure where Obama was...

I disagree. There is something about heading to the polls with many other fellow citizens and neighbors. It feels right. It feels American.

Uh, who cares?

I've run Cleveland's Turkey Trot a few times. Always a fun way to start Thanksgiving before putting on the sweats and eating 8 servings of turkey and dressing. One time a couple years ago, it was so windy at that Turkey Trot that they shortened the route (many runners just left) and I had to push my girlfriend forward just to make it down the street.

If you have not voted, get out there by 7PM. I proudly voted for John Sidney McCain III this morning and am hoping for 80%+ as some have predicted. No problem in Lorain County for me. I arrived at 6:15 AM and the line was out the door. I was back in my car at 7AM. Not too bad.

Like many, I am cautiously optimistic. I hope the current mall site gets a second look and I hope they someday build the NCTC.

I believe both Cincinnati and Memphis dropped State several years ago for similar reasons. Has it worked for them?
