That's OK too. And it's not too late, they can always modify it.

Cuyahoga County: County Government Reform News & Discussion
I would have voted no if I had a vote, but the "ward" system made sense vs at-large. You can't have all the representatives coming from one city. The outlying cities in the county need representation.

Statewide: Issue 2 - Livestock Care Standards
How much more bureaucracy can we vote into place? Between this and Cuyahoga County Issue 6 I am sure it will cost us taxpayers millions.

Is there a chance at least one of these 4 casinos never gets built?

60% tax? Vote that in and they may not get built. 60% is crazy high and unfair.

Quite simply, put an Ohio legislature written proposal on the ballot with a set number of licenses, vote on it, then put the licenses up for bid. That I would vote for.- Ohio Gambling News
How is that even enforceable or proveable? They simply stop increasing funding to schools as revenues from casinos come in. Have you seen how govermment works? The "funding obligations of the state" are very easily adjusted.- Ohio Gambling News
The guy running the Nautica poker said they will have to shut down if this passes. I assume he knows something about the new rules.- Statewide: Issue 2 - Livestock Care Standards
Add me to the No column. Thanks for the discussion above.- Ohio Gambling News
I have no problems with casinos and would not oppose one in Cleveland, but i am voting No on this issue. It truly is just a plan to create a monopoly right in the constitution. And it would eliminate things like the Charity Poker Festival in downtown Cleveland. Many schools and non-profits benefit from that.- Pet Peeves!
Same can be said for every RTA train stop and bus stop. I see riders dropping them just as they get on the bus all the time. Unfortunately they carry their stench with them...- Off Topic
That would be hillarious if it turned out a Massillon fan got into Google and changed Canton's name, with the big rivalry game this Saturday.- Off Topic
It was the Lakewood Elk's Lodge back in the day, but I think even before that it was a built for a social club of some sort.- 2010 Gubernatorial Election
Do I really need to respond in any more detail to crap like this?- Pet Peeves!
99% of smokers litter. It's that stat that makes them much more disgusting than they otherwise would be by just smoking.- Cleveland: Demolition Watch
I guess my nose is buried in a book too much as I missed the Marina on the Cuyahoga under RTA's viaduct/bridge being torn down, inclusing the boat storage racks and all. I thought they were still operating earlier this year... Plans for that property?- Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
::) OK EagleFan, why are you rolling your eyes. I think Oldmanladyluck made a perfectly rational prediction. Perhaps that oil spike is underway right now as oil broke back above the $80 per barrel price yesterday. But suburbanites like to think they've escaped reality in every sense of the word. It's nice that you have surburbanites all figured out. (BTW, you live in a suburb.) They are not standing around waiting to panic over $8 gasoline, though I expect that is a picture you love to imagine.- Off Topic
maybe they should close the windows.- Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
I agree. Spending $700,000 on talking busses is just plain wasteful. RTA seriously could not come up with a better way to spend the stimulus money? How about the Brookpark Rd rapid station or the many other RTA properties that need to be fixed up.? How about restoring some service recently cut? And besides, the automated system that announces stops on trains and busses still does not work. What should make us think these new messages will actually play at the right times?- Off Topic
Don't be grumpy.- Off Topic
If you had a free standing house in the suburbs with some space between you and your neighbors, it would probably be more tolerable.- 2010 Gubernatorial Election

Just got back from trip to Bryce Canyon N.P., Zion N.P., Grand Canyon N.P. (north rim), and Glen Canyon N.R.A. (and Scottsdale). Bryce is now my favorite N.P. The hoodoos are an amazing sight, especially near sunset. - Ohio Gambling News
