Is Sun moving out of North Olmsted?

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
Some Drivers will never "get" a Bus lane that goes straight to the left of a car lane that turns left. Way too confusing. :-P :| :-(

It's not too slow since much of that 55 trip would be on the Shoreway with no stops.

I would guess drivers have pointed out the same thing, but there is a problem on Public Square in front of the BP Building. The left lane is a bus only lane, but it used to be a left turn lane and many cars are still using it for that, blocking the bus that has it's own special light to cross Superior. During high traffic times, there is a car in that left lane almost every light and since the bus light is supposed to be on first, it often delays the bus one full light. I've seen: 1. The bus lay on the horn until the car just ran the light, turning left, so the bus could go straight. 2. The bus, if room, drive over to the right around the cars to go through the intersection. 3. The bus just sit there and wait for the next light. There is at least one sign that says Left Lane Bus Only, but no painting on the pavement. Maybe they need overhead signs or better painting? (or a man with a badge ;))

Oh, and I agree. The message is important and the article very good.

A bus that stops on Public Square is not considered connected to the Red Line? I guess I am not up to speed on defining a "connection". Unfortuantely for transit supporters, a vast majority of people in this country feel the same way. :(

Anyone experiencing overcrowded mass transit?
I've stood on GCRTA (the Red Line and the 246) this week just about every day. No big deal, I guess.

To be fair to RTA and Sun readers, that is not true. There is still service between your corner of Lakewood and Lorain Rd in North Olmsted, either via the 75 that still runs 4 times each morning and evening, or the 55-Red Line-75 connection that runs other times.

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
I think the name of the office is all that needs to be on there. Outlaw the personal names altogether...

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
Seriously? The way to not have Russo's name and face plastered on every gas pump is to not inspect them at all? I remember when the prominent word accross the center of the sticker read "Inspected". Now it reads "Frank Russo". Who authorized that change? :police:

Speed camera tickets
It's a civil charge. They won't issue an arrest warrant if you ignore it, but they will send it to collections. If you claim you were not the driver, they'll require you to rat out the actual driver.

Cheering Anderson's injury was wrong, but it was very much a minority of the fans doing it. I cheered Dorsey when he came out 2 minutes later. I hope that is not what they are talking about.

Yes, we have. Christmas Eve falls into the same category. Not a full work day, but not a holiday either. Various scenarios have been tried over the years, but nothing has been settled on as a permanent solution. Thanks, Jerry. In my experience, those are the two days a year where ridership just disappears despite not being an official holiday. New Years Eve is a distant 3rd. Probably why I have worked those 3 days the last 10 years...near private ride in and out and rare quietness withing the cubicle farm...

:wtf: To boost airport station ridership to 450? I'm all for train service through Rocky River, Bay etc and Parma, Berea, Stronsgville etc, but that would not be justified because of the Airport connection by any stretch. They need to market RTA more, but that takes cash...

It's wrong. I'm actually surprised KJP disagrees.

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
I think Frank Russo should have been kicked out of the county the second he authorized every frickin gas pump in the county to get his picture and name plastered accross it. Blatant misuse of power.

Took the 246 from Westlake this morning. I was the only passneger on the 50+ seat bus. Has RTA ever considered a modified schedule on the day after Thanksgiving? The 246, for instance, runs every 8 minutes from 7:20 to 8:00. 5 or less may have been on each of those busses this morning. The driver told me he would run the route even if I was not on the bus, per policy.
