Cincinnati: Restaurant News & Info
Blue Line replied to The_Cincinnati_Kid's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & Entertainment^I still have no idea where people will park at that location. I guess the Stetson Square residents will see vagrants appearing in their neighborhood.

Consumer Spending
If they don't expire, be sure to see about any other conditions your gift card might have. Some have certain levels of depreciation if you don't use it by a certain time.

I suppose it's easier for me because one person wants the Best of Tom Jones, and another wants a collection of The Adventures of Tin Tin. Everyone else can get candles or alcohol. :-D I know what you're saying though. Just be careful about where you buy the gift cards and the conditions for each one, of course.

Greater Cincinnati Metro (SORTA) and TANK News & Discussion
^If gas prices don't skyrocket again, we might not see such a boost in ridership from the Oct-2009 report. May still be on the rise, but I wouldn't guess as much.

Consumer Spending
I'll be spending more this year because I really didn't spend much at all last year. I won't buy gift cards though. That's quite a risk, these days.

Cincinnati Transit Overhaul
^Feel free to research various cities who have successfully implemented light rail with smaller populations than that of Cincinnati. That's also to say that employment centers won't shift over the next decade, shifted by various socioeconomic factors. As far as points of interest, we already have them. As far as strengthening those points of interest, that's what TOD can achieve when done right.

Cincinnati Transit Overhaul
If it's a city operation, I wouldn't count out the possibility that a slight increase could pay for future transit service expansion into other modes.
-
Cincinnati Transit Overhaul
Well, I'm wondering if the same percentage tax will be footed by city residents, or if that will change.

Cincinnati Transit Overhaul
It's interesting how light rail snuck back into the picture, as you stated earlier in the week, Randy. But would you happen to be able to explain what makes the light rail inclusion here different from previous conditions? Does it have anything to do with how funding will be decided or whether it'll go to the voters? I must say that I'm not familiar with the process. So, is this still going to switch over in March?
