  1. All five existing locations are in Showcase Cinemas or Cinema de Lux theatres. I didn't go because they were too far for me (no car). But they hosted free cones from 5p to 8p.

Well, I have decided that I'm absolutely fed up with this arm cast, and I'm going to go out for a 2 mile run this evening. I'm sure it'll look silly and be very uncomfortable, but I need this. So if you see someone in an armcast on Clifton or Ludlow Avenues...honk. :)
  3. Well, it's considered to be a doppelbock, but it goes down so smoothly. It's the only relatively "affordable" dark beer that I can drink one after the other like juice. It also qualifies for the European definition of "malt liquor", which basically means it's higher alcohol (7%). I'm not great at describing flavors but I strongly suggest you give it a shot. You can just buy a single bottle from the cold section at Party Source, if you don't want to shell out for a 6-pack.
  4. Remember that this offer is still going on today. I'll be sifting through the used section. :)
  5. What's an RFP, pray tell?
  6. I don't like Steve Driehaus' views on immigration. That made it difficult. Chabot? Eh. Also, the Cincinnati issue for proportional representation and the Ohio issue for borrowing money for environmental purposes. Everything else was pretty clear cut.
  7. In that case, the great beer thread is here: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,17695.0.html Holiday brew discussion, continue. :)
  8. I didn't see an official brews thread, so I figure I'd add one. (Apologies if there's already one. I did search.) So what's everyone drinking tonight for the poll results? Favorite beers? As I stated in a specialty thread, I'll be drinking my favorite affordable tonight. A 6-pack of Spatan Optimator. Doesn't get much better than this. $7.99/6 pack and oh so good.
  9. Is this the official beer thread, because it seems like just holiday brews...
  10. Also, I wouldn't say he needs an extremely large internal hard drive if he had a spacious external.
  11. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=408 This is what I have, and I have 80GB+ of music and other things. Capacity of mine is 250GB.
  12. Quoted for emphasis.
  13. Right. I wouldn't mind either, but that would surely divide voters on its just nature. All of a sudden, it would become a diplomacy issue and a defense issue.
  14. ^I completely agree. While I was standing in line, I wondered how people would react if we all had to vote in Islamic temples.
  15. Couldn't there be an issue on the ballot next time to ban casinos in Ohio? Sure. they're already illegal in the state, but it would reinforce the stance.

Would you say that a race motivates you to run farther/longer than you would have otherwise...or have run before?
  17. ^I hope you're not going to post "proudly voted for John Sidney McCain III" in each of your posts today...

Anyone running the Turkey Day 10K race in Downtown Cincinnati? I'm wondering if I'd be able to run that by training for two weeks. I get this cast off on the 17th. EDIT: Probably not. *sigh*
  19. ^That is one super fat laptop.

  21. I don't see the casino issue passing, but who knows. Even if all of Wilmington votes for the thing, that's such a small piece of the pie.
  22. Sorry, man. I wasn't going to give votes away to people ,if I didn't know for certain who I favored.
  23. ^^Yay--caving into conventional profiling! (I hope you're joking.)
  24. ^Nope. I didn't know about the site.
  25. I arrived at my polling place at about 6:30am and finally cast my ballot at 7:30. Took about 7 minutes. I wanted to ensure that I voted on the issues exactly as I planned. No judge votes from me, as I don't feel I knew them enough to make an educated decision. Everything else was cake though. Oh, and originally, the man at the table said that I had to vote provisionally because my driver's license doesn't have my current address on it. He claimed that they couldn't prove that I was a resident in that district. That made me very angry because I made sure to read the conditions last night. As I was half way through the provision ballot envelope, I mentioned to a woman at the same table that my name was in the book, but the man wouldn't let me sign it. After a couple minutes, they informed him that his instructions were wrong, and they let me vote with a regular ballot. Whew.
