Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
That seems slightly naive. I also don't see Starbucks opening any new locations anytime soon.

Cincinnati: Bicycling Developments and News
I really wish that Cincinnati would paint sharrows on bike routes where bike lanes aren't possible.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^Well, because that's what it's named.

Gas Prices
I wouldn't hold your breath on $2-3. Sure didn't have to hold it very long! I honestly was referring to a long duration after the Elections. Everyone expected prices to plummet. That's just what happens. I probably got lazy the day I typed that, and didn't expound. I'm sitting here with an arm in a cast, so you know.

So who's attending tonight's game against South Florida? I'm looking forward to a good game. Let's pick up those INTs.

Liberty Township: Liberty Center
Cincinnati and Hamilton aren't THAT far...

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
^I agree. It would be a good addendum to the green mission that the city has been touting.

Liberty Township: Liberty Center
Sounds good to me. Why *buy* your own downtown when we already have one (really, two) in the region. "You can't always get what you want..."

Hamilton! - Gallery 26 - Apartments, Rows, Doubles, etc.
The auditor's site is showing the year built as 1900, which is obviously an estimation. We may never know.

Any idea which street the "don't ask me" house was on?

[irrelevant]Do the undercover hookers actually look like grade-A product, in order to guarantee to lure those perverts? Just wondering. :-P[/irrelevant]

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
Well, I do know that a woman was connected to the internet using a wireless card on megabus, while on a bus that didn't have working wireless yet. I have no doubt that you could do the same on a train, but alas, we don't all have wireless cards... Glad to see they're working on it though.

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
^ I don't believe so, which is a drawback. It'd definitely like to see that implemented. I just took the time warp and played The Sims and iTunes in the middle of the night. Nothing else to do other than seeing if there's someone to talk to in the lounge car or read a mag.

Well, consider me proven wrong, and thanks for the tip. I honestly wouldn't have known from the looks of it. For sale nonetheless.

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
Absolutely. There is no shortage of electrical outlets and no problem using the phone for any purpose. Believe me, I was thrilled to be able to pass the time on my laptop and plug in my phone. It *does* make the window seats that much more of a luxury though, an advantage of boarding at a line terminus, I guess.

Airline Industry News and Discussion
I'm surprised there's been no mention of the Delta/Northwest merger. EDIT: Well, out from the rug. :-p

^It's also interesting to notice that they've been painted more recently. The Sibcy Cline photo:

Airline Industry News and Discussion
What I wonder is how much money is Delta actually losing by scaring customers off to other airports and other airlines? They claim that costs are higher at their hubs, which I can understand. Would they lose LESS if their prices were lower at hubs like Cincinnati?

You'll be pleased to know that they're vacant (so it seems when you walk by).

Amtrak & Federal: Passenger Rail News
^I don't know recently you've ridden Amtrak, but I had very comfortable seats and *plenty* of legroom, traveling from Chicago to Erie, PA just two months ago. I would have never gotten that degree of comfort on an airliner.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Not to get off topic but Hydroelectric power generation facilities are in place at five Ohio River navigation dams. http://www.orsanco.org/rivinfo/basin/hydro.asp A dam would not work of course but turbines would. Power the damn streetcar with it and give Michaels $2. back so the endless bickering will stop. EDIT: formatted quote box Sorry about that. I had turbines in mind, but I wasn't thinking about the dams down and up river. Proven wrong though, thankfully. Maybe then we'd get some gov't money if we also needed turbines in the river. ;)
