Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Or American food choices. Affordable food choices. There's not a lot of quality layman food in OTR right now.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Obviously not going to be affordable.

Is Over-the-Rhine As Bad As They Say?
Definitely happy to see Mt. Washington still near the bottom of the list, after all these years. Grew up there and never had a single problem. Had a bike stolen out of the garage once, but that's about it.

Cincinnati: OTR: Bavaria Building
What a shame.
-
Cincinnati: Corryville: Hampton Inn & Suites
I was using it loosely. But if you're 40 years old in a suit, I'm sure they'd check.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Well, it's pretty standard protocol not to divulge the origins of tenant letters of intent.
-
Cincinnati: Corryville: Hampton Inn & Suites
^But that doesn't really make any sense. Why would someone at the Kingsgate Marriott also have a UC ID? It's required of people riding BTS.

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
^That's a very absurd statement. Of course Pendelton will have a choice. The provision wasn't that we'd get a 24 hour casino with no wiggle room for the host neighborhood. Many people have moved into Pendleton along Reading in the past few years. Residents will always have leveraging power, especially if they are middle to high income. In this case, that absolutely wouldn't be a bad thing to keep the casino operation in check. The city has close eyes on this one.

Cincinnati: Corryville: Hampton Inn & Suites
I don't think it was ever expected to be. The expectation was that it'd fit within the density of its surroundings and capitalize on short-term, budget visitors. Obviously people aren't staying at the Interstate Motel to see a Bearcats game. It's probably going to be a lower price point but still nice.

Chicago gets Destroyed
What a complete and utter waste of resources. We, as a society, need to get over our fascination with big budget explosions (fireworks extravaganzas and movie jerk-fests).
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I still think it's laughable that they want The Banks to become a new neighborhood, where people live and play. We have already seen new Downtown residential tenants complaining about noise from Backstage and in Soapbox. It's hard to have both.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^But there are probably fewer destinations along a Central Parkway route than any other option, until you get to Cincinnati State. It's very much low-density development.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Nearly all their locations in the midwest are within downtowns...except ours.

Getting it from Johio too. Will the moderators please ask him/her to change the avatar?

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I was always given the wrong impression as well, thinking that it was voted in favor in the city.

Cincinnati: Historic Preservation
They don't return anyone's calls. They just vilify.

Cincinnati Public Schools: Development and News
School board approves Quebec design http://nky.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20100712/NEWS0102/7130366/School-board-approves-Quebec-design By Jessica Brown [email protected] CORRYVILLE - The Cincinnati School Board and the public got a look Monday night at design plans for the new Quebec Heights Elementary School in Price Hill. The plan by DH Architects, which won unanimous approval from the seven-member board, includes several environmentally friendly features and green space for "outdoor classrooms."

Ohio Cities' Downtown Population
OTR is part of Downtown, in my opinion. It's only become a separate entity because if its historic district status and many decades of disinvestment.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
Why would someone tear down a parking lot recently built anyway? I'd say stop dreaming for a while. It's better than the surface lot that was there. There's clearly investment going on on other blocks. Unfortunately, the downtown blocks are much more expensive than ones currently in redevelopment in OTR. That's why there have only been a handful of construction projects south of Central Parkway. Plenty of parking lots are left in Downtown, open for dreaming and visioning.

Cincinnati Public Schools: Development and News
No idea what IIRC is.

Cincinnati: Northside: American Can Factory Lofts
I think you might have this confused with the Crosley Building.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
I think the street level retail spaces are going to be a great addition to the block. How many years had that lot been vacant? Whew, finally.
-
Cincinnati: Downtown: Seven at Broadway
^We don't need another park. The weak solution for any vacant is to make it a park in Cincy. We have plenty of parks.
-
Cincinnati: Clifton Heights - 65 West Apartments
Neighborhoods are woven together by a common language. I don't think it's easy just to say that some buildings are more important than others, especially older institutional and religious structures that are one-of-a-kind, anywhere you go.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^Great points and observations. This really should be further emphasized at the city. If we want anything transit-oriented done in Cincinnati, we the city must do it ourselves. Otherwise, it's giving someone say on how you should or shouldn't decorate your living room.
