Glad to hear! (and your forum post is the first I've heard about it).
  2. perhaps i should have looked more before posting. I now see that it's an online newspaper, formatted to look and feel like reading a real newspaper. Still, what a horrifically written article.
  3. I've never even heard of the huffington post. And I wonder just how many people around the country have as well. That should tell you all you need to know about the legitimacy of this troll. And yes, he is a troll, not a journalist.

w28th and everyone else, believe me when I say this. The two buildings that they are tearing down are nothing great. They are both difficult and get in and out of for parking, and they are kinda rundown. (please dont take thing as a knock on tyler village. I'm glad they are tearing these down). Thank you, Tyler Village, for tearing these down and giving us ample parking. I will gladly deal with it not being covered parking, in exchange for actually having a spot everyday, as well as not having to park in a rundown lot. and of course, none of this is the fault of tyler village. They simply inherited what the WS Tyler company (and years of abandonment) left over.
  6. Very happy with the draft. The defensive secondary will be light years ahead of what it was.

update from PC Helps: We now have well over 60 employees working full time in our office, and have been hiring new employees recently. We are all very happy with Typer Village, and really appreciate the recent work that was done in the hallway outside of our main entrance. New walls put up, painted, and will soon have new flooring installed. The new tyler village cafe, while modest in choices, allows us an another option for grabbing a bagel or quick snack during the day without having to leave the complex. There is work being done in the areas where we park to improve that as well. We also continually notice the new tenants coming in and we appreciate having such great neighbors. Thank you Tyler Village, for all the hard work you have done. Keep it up!
  8. Radeona, Good luck on the test. I'm sure ill see ya tuesday, as mr chips will probably introduce ya.
  9. SmittenKitten has arrived! along with her husband! how nice to have you guys here
  10. Smitten..... In my last post, the "complaining" comment was just sarcasm. (i know I didn't make this obvious enough when posting it). I had heard a few comments, but I know they wern't all bloody serious. :-P
  11. Our Head IT guy is heading back home to philly tonight, for some well-earned R&R. A sign that things are going fairly stable here. There is still work that needs done, but for now, we have everything we need to conduct business. and hopefully, all you poor people in Philly will quit complaining :-P, since we are now taking a percentage of your call volume away (it should now by just as busy as if we were there).
  12. all is well today. Operation is going as smooth as can be expected for a new office. as the old saying goes.... "no news is good news".
  13. oh yes, As werff said, we are taking some calls now.
  14. trust me, the cleveland office is much nicer. the philly one is mostly plain (although certainly not a bad place to work).
  15. MONDAY MORNING UPDATE: We now have internet connectivity, and network connectivity. Latest word is, we will be taking calls this afternoon. People back in Philly, please be advised: At first, it will be a VERY SMALL percentage of total call volume to PC Helps, that will be routed to Cleveland. As we start taking some calls, and see that the system is handling it well, the percentage will gradually go up. (and higher and higher as we get more ppl here starting in june).
  16. UPDATE: We have received word from Management that we will "most likely be taking phone calls on monday". Take it for what its worth. It sure has been a long and interesting week. I am out. Cya on monday.
  17. UPDATE: Our phone system now has external connectivity, for sending and receiving calls from outside sources. However, we are still unable to take calls due to lack of network connectivity (and being able to connect to the systems we need to track and support calls). I wish I had details as to what is delaying us getting access to the network, but I dont. We might be able to start taking calls monday, but dont hold your breath,
  18. As of 5:30 PM last night, we still did not have network connectivity. We may this morning however.
  19. we've had plenty of time to do LO's here.... still awaiting network connectivity for this afternoon.
  20. Well Gilch, why don't you send an email to GS? lol. I don't exactly know everything thats going on at this point. But As far as I know, the vast majority of what yet needs to be done to get us online, is out of our hands. We're waiting to hear from our techs in Philly, to get access to the call records system, and we're also waiting on word from another source about getting the phone system completely running. In my last post, I said we're thinking we'll be taking calls on Monday. A more appropriate word would have been hoping. Monday may be a bit optimistic at this point. I apologize guys, but getting a new office up and running doesn't exactly happen in 2 hours. (lol)
  21. UPDATE: all of our equipment is now in the office, and everyone has their workstations all set up. Our phone systems are set up, but with internal connections only (we arent able to get an outside line yet). We probably won't have access to the "call-record system" until tomorrow. We should have complete internet/network connectivity tomorrow. As far as when we can actually start taking calls, we're thinking monday. I apologize for not updating sooner, getting any wi-fi here is spotty at best.
  22. Cant give much of an upgrade. Still awaiting the results of our inspection. A few members of PCH Mgmt are currently up there..... tying up loose ends, i suppose.
  23. Smitten, One of our inspections is going on as I am typing this, as far as we know. We still have our PC's in the temporary holding area and are doing "learning objectives". If all goes well, we may be able to move the PC's to our actual office today. However, itll probably be another day or so before we get online. Hope you guys are surviving back in philly.
  24. Today, June 2nd, is our first day at this new office. we are not completely moved into the new office yet; There are inspections pending before we can move our computers and phones into our office area. For this week, we have all our computers in a different area of the building, temporarily, and we are working on getting some stuff done. As for the office, It currently has: Carpeting, wallpaper, and cubicles all completed. The lobby and the break room are also close to complete. We basically have everything we need to work, except our computers and phones, which will be moved in after the inspections clear and we are given the "Go To" to start conducting business. Unfortunately, Due to Corporate Policy, I am not allowed to post any pictures of the office. But if PCH ever decides to place them on a publicly available resource, I will post a link to it.
  25. Happy Memorial Day to all my PC Helps co-workers, and to all UO members.
