  1. It might not be better for all, so let's see what compromises were made before jumping to conclusions. The far majority of the community supported the original plans, the loud minority did not.
  2. And also a clown...Remember he was the one proposing a double lane drive-thru McDonald's on Lorain Ave, in the heart of OHC.
  3. The only thing Americans are #1 in anymore is laziness.
  4. North Olmsted police detain 3 after shooting at Two Bucks bar on Lorain Road https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cleveland19.com/2021/03/29/north-olmsted-police-detain-after-shooting-two-bucks-bar-lorain-road/%3foutputType=amp
  5. Lets be real, the NIMBY's ultimate concerns are either over parking, OR disdain about living next to renters. They like to hide behind the "quality of architecture" excuse.
  6. Ugh....This is quite disturbing. GRAPHIC: ‘I just killed my son after hearing voices,’ Parma, Ohio dad tells 911 dispatcher https://www.cleveland19.com/2021/03/26/parma-police-year-old-boy-murdered-father-under-arrest/?fbclid=IwAR3G1t4DxmANd4ns0a0c0NDZtrNiaPUgkPtyVpMMj2CJzsNM7FeaPUpQju0
  7. ^ Pretty sure this is as high as it's going.
  8. Anything can happen but the temps will most likely be between 63-73.
  9. May 1st avg temp Cleveland: Daily high temperatures increase by 10°F, from 63°F to 73°F, rarely falling below 50°F or exceeding 85°F.
  10. It's not that bad out there today! Just got back from a run along the lake and most of us were out there in shorts and tees. The location will be fine.
  11. The fastest growing areas in Greater Cleveland are downtown, Ohio City and University Circle. These three sub markets have added over 5k units since 2018. Avon, North Ridgeville and Westlake have also seen growth, but no where near what the city is currently experiencing.
  12. I've been doing my part and can confirm the stifling is real. I was booted out of a block club last year for simply showing support for the w48th and Franklin project.
  13. Love seeing what's happening in Glenville. Talk about a neighborhood with great bones and limitless potential!
  14. So frustrating. If they keep blocking projects developers/investors will simply walk away and shun the city, it's happened before.
  15. Thought I read the same as well.

Mandel is a vile human so I'd expect him to do quite well in terms of gaining support from the GOP base.
  17. Completely agree. That's why I don't think it will, nor should be used, on ee raises. I could see the rationale behind using a small portion of it for additional hires in a few departments (B&H as an example).
  18. Why do you say that? When the income tax increase was passed in 2018, zero of it went towards ee's raises. Most of the money was used on increasing the street paving budget, opening all recs and pools, purchasing much needed safety and EMS vehicles, etc.
  19. Considering the city was on hiring freeze last year, I expect most departments will hire more employees. I highly doubt raises across the board are in the cards though.
  20. Cleveland and Detroit might be the best two real estate markets to invest in over the long term.
  21. Cleveland, Ohio governments to get big money as part of new federal stimulus plan. How will they spend it? COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Cleveland is in line to get a huge amount of money -- and the most by far of any city in the state -- as part of the billions in funding coming to city and state governments through the through the new federal coronavirus relief bill that President Joe Biden signed on Thursday. Cleveland is eligible to receive more than $541 million over two years, almost $290 million more than Cincinnati, which will get the second most of any Ohio city, according to an analysis of the bill from the Congressional Research Service. https://www.cleveland.com/open/2021/03/cleveland-ohio-governments-to-get-big-money-as-part-of-new-federal-stimulus-plan-how-will-they-spend-it.html
  22. The 5/3 return date wasn't shared in a company-wide email. There's already 400ee's coming in M/W/F and another 300ee's T/TH
  23. We shall see. May 3rd is the return date for all ee's right now, it could obviously change. BTW - it's already rotational. Directors, VPs and other corporate staff are going into the office 2/3 days a week.
  24. Yes, this will be for everyone. They already have ~700 or so that are coming in on staggered days.
  25. Apologies if this was already posted...SHW recently sent out notices that all employee's will be returning to the downtown HQ during the week of 5/3.
