It's not impossible to find out if you talk to them, as I and others have.

Cleveland: Population Trends
1. I have a cousin who has lived in Manhattan since 2001. He just rented a place in the NJ burbs due to the mental toll and inconvenience (who's riding subways now?) the pandemic has had on him and his family. They will never move back to NYC. 2. A lot of Buffalo folk moved here when Key bought out Niagara Bank a few years back. Lately, the NY plates have been coming from NYC and other regions of the east coast. I own a lot of rental properties in the area and half of my new tenants (this year) have come from the NYC area. 3. Maybe towards the end of the 2020's. Still have a lot of holes in the city to fill....The biggest emphasis of (re)development in CLE will occur along the river and lake.

Ohio Census / Population Trends & Lists
I think jonoh81's numbers were pulled from 2018. In 2019, Cleveland's GDP (and most likely tax revenue) leaped both Cincinnati and Columbus.

Cleveland: Population Trends
Everyone I know (and everyone they know) has left NYC for connecticut, jersey burbs, etc.. It's going to take a solid decade for NYC to rebound from this pandemic. There are streets in Cleveland where the NYC plates are close to outnumbering Ohio plates.

Housing Market & Trends
Actually it is quite large, but so was the amount of people leaving Cleveland too. Now, less people are leaving and we're attracting more newcomers simultaneously.

Their work on the black pearl district in Lorain was pretty good. Market creations cafe in Chicago hits the mark as well. Locally, they've worked on Crop, TH and Taza. Moving on....

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Lucky for us it's not a hotel going there. I was able to confirm the foundation needed an estimated 300k in repairs just to make it structurally sound. In other news, we should see renderings for a substantial townhome/condo proposal on w47 and Lorain very soon. It'll be at least 4 stories in height and will be priced at the higher end of the market.

Knowing who's involved with this project, I have no doubt the new construction will justify the tear down.

1) There are wayyyyy different parties and sectors of folks behind the Midtown and City Block concepts than those of the Medical Mart. 2) So an idea/project didn't work out in the past, let's never try anything innovative ever again. Brilliant!

Cleveland: Random Development and News
The w47th St 'block' club was unfortunately successful in blocking this development because they didn't like the density it would bring. The investor is preparing for a court battle against said club.
