  1. Stuff still gets built during a recession..
  2. And a better overall design.
  3. ^ Awesome views - thanks!
  4. Very anecdotal. I think when you mix in the strong employment numbers, low COL and high QOL, it adds up to what we're seeing now - real growth.
  5. Ah, I found out they're only doing it yearly now. 2019 should be out Feb/Mar 2020.
  6. they still do
  7. Global Center for Health Innovation lands two startups as tenants There are two new tenants at the Global Center for Health Innovation, both of which use technology developed at the Cleveland Clinic and both led by serial health care entrepreneur Vince Owens. The Global Center announced in a news release on Wednesday, Aug. 7, that the tenants — digital health startup Qr8 Health and medical device company Enspire DBS Therapy — will share a suite and have an initial s taff of eight. Qr8 Health is coming to the Global Center from Boston. 8. ^ There's going to be one more jump.
  9. Ohio City is going to look/feel like a completely different neighborhood once Church + State, Snavely III, Franklin Circle and Market Sq are all wrapped up in the next years. That's not even counting what Kertesz, Weston, Hemmingway and others have planned. Plus countless other townhome/condo projects.
  10. If so many people didn't run away from the city during the last 70yrs, maybe our tax base could support more beautification projects.
  11. 12. There's a lot of legitimacy to it. Are AG and Eaton able to attract employees? Sure, but are they attracting the best local and national talent? Heck no. I know MANY people who would rather take less $ to work downtown over a suburban location if given the choice. Another Example: As for Millennia's other potential downtown projects, Sinito isn't dropping many hints. He said his business needs 30,000 square feet for its headquarters - up from the 21,000 square feet the companies occupy at Sinito's Thornburg Station development on Rockside Road. He wants to buy, not lease. And he's looking at buildings that could accommodate several uses, including more apartments. There is vacant land next to Thornburg Station, where Sinito originally planned to build a new headquarters complex as his company grew. But his plans, and the market, have changed. "When we think about recruiting and we think about really good employees, I think that there's a lot of excitement downtown," Sinito said. "People that are younger than me, they want to work down there." https://www.cleveland.com/business/2014/04/millennia_companies_to_buy_gar.html
  13. It's crazy to think a market the size of Cleveland couldn't handle a few hundred micro apartments. Hell, we could probably use a few thousand. And downtown Cleveland isn't that affordable, even comparatively speaking. https://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2019/07/29/university-circles-rent-prices-have-grown-nearly-50-percent-over-past-year-new-report-finds
  14. I'd bet so too.
  15. ^ He's drunk.
  16. Reyes is a monster.
  17. Six Northeast Ohio businesses, estimated to bring more than $68 million in new annual payroll, receive state tax credits https://www.crainscleveland.com/government/six-northeast-ohio-businesses-estimated-bring-more-68-million-new-annual-payroll-receive
  18. Not so true these days. I'm friends with a lot of millenials with kids who are opting to stay in the city. Hell, I'm one of them.. And Progressive just opened up a downtown "strategic" office, so things could get interesting over the next decade..
  19. I don't see why those working in Legal, IT, Sales, etc. can't be moved to a downtown location. Many manufacturing companies the size of Eaton don't house those departments inside or even near their manufacturing sites.
  20. ^ Lumen doesn't look tall because of the perspective of the drawing.
  21. I bet there's criminal somewhere in everyone's family tree.
  22. I'll take whatever it is you're smoking right now!
