  1. Why even try to reason with David? This is the same guy who thinks UDF is a Michelin-rated restaurant.
  2. So if we get to just make up what MSA's we like, can I say that Columbus includes Dayton and Toledo? Cincinnati can have Indianapolis, maybe? Sure...go ahead...but it doesn't make it correct: https://www.newsgeneration.com/broadcast-resources/top-100-radio-markets/ Media is actually divided into DMAs (Designated Market Areas) which are different geographically than MSAs. For example, Logan and Bucyrus are in the Columbus DMA but not its MSA. I know this. Just saying that putting Cleveland/Akron/Canton together makes sense as compared to what others have suggested.
  3. Hatfield Goode Grub is taking over the old Cleveland Pickle spot downtown. http://www.hatfieldsgoodegrub.com/

  5. This Panini's is closing up at the end of year when their lease expires. I heard about this directly from the owner.
  6. ^ Their food hall concept in Pittsburgh is wildly popular. It's going to be a fantastic addition to this section of w25th.

    Is this Heaven?
  8. That's a different group. The folks that own this TK only own the Panini's in Kent and Brunswick.
  9. YABO713[/member] Snavely had a crane (sometimes two) on site while the exterior was being built vertical.
  10. Keep in mind the median sales price excludes condos, townhomes and even some single family new builds. From the article: "In neighborhoods where there were at least 25 sales, the median prices for condos were $248,000 in Detroit-Shoreway, $208,250 in Ohio City, $204,000 downtown, and $88,500 in Buckeye-Shaker".
  11. ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS Ordinance No. 80-18(Ward 3/Councilmember McCormack): Authorizing the Commissioner of Purchases and Supplies to acquire and re-convey properties presently owned by Project 29 Partners LLC, or its designee, located on Detroit Avenue between West 28th Street and West 29th Street for the purpose of entering into the chain-of-title prior to the adoption of tax increment financing legislation authorized under Section 5709.41 of the Revised Code. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/drcagenda/2018/02022018/index.php#gallery
  12. Anyone know what this is about? ZONING MAP AMENDMENTS Ordinance No. 77-18(Ward 3/Councilmember McCormack): Changing the Use, Area and Height Districts of parcels in the Flats along the West bank of the Cuyahoga River. Ordinance No. 78-18(Ward 3/Councilmember McCormack; Ward 5/Councilmember Cleveland; Ward 7/Councilmember B. Jones): Changing the Height Districts for the Central Business District and lands along the East Bank of the Flats. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/drcagenda/2018/02022018/index.php
  13. ^ Here's what's listed as available on loopnet: http://www.loopnet.com/ohio/cleveland_office-space-for-lease/
  14. Any predictions on which neighborhood will be the next to turn green? I think it could take a while, but Cudell seems logistically like it could be the next to make a jump. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Brooklyn Centre or Clark-Fulton either.
  15. He said the issue falls on the county because they are actually miss coded. Also, some fall through the cracks if they are not recorded in timely manner.
  16. Rich Exner tweeted that some new construction is missed in his report because of the way the county codes the sale transfer. This could help explain the low median sales price for single family homes and condos in areas that are seeing new construction.
  17. The condo and townhome sale prices were much higher in the "hot" neighborhoods. Ex: Detroit Shoreway's median condo sale was 248k. That's much higher than its ever been.
  18. Ohio has two MLB teams?
  19. They were doing exterior restoration work on the lower half of the building facing Prospect ave this AM.
  20. Here's something you don't see everyday:
  21. ^ probably my favorite non-Ohio brewer. Great location too!
  22. Even mentioning that poisons efforts to consolidate programs and services at any level. It's a complete non-starter in the Cuyahoga County suburbs, and Cleveland's even allergic to it now (look at the East Cleveland discussions). Regionalism will happen eventually out of necessity. It's only a matter of time. Check this: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/director-of-regional-collaboration-%28unclassified%29-at-cuyahoga-county-569738770
  23. it actually makes a lot of sense if done right..
  24. It could be hidden in back. This may be one of those great chances for a public/private partnership--a court tower with rental space included in the tower. In back of what? On the W3rd side or perhaps even on the next block to the west, with an integrated parking/Police HQ structure. Bad idea on all levels. What's your grand idea then? Please share.
