  3. Geis joint venture pursues Ohio City apartment project, but some neighbors push back CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A developer group aims to demolish an Ohio City industrial building and replace it with 70 apartments, in a project that's generating chatter - and a bit of pushback - from neighbors on surrounding residential streets. Fred Geis and his son, Ethan, have teamed up with residential developer Chad Kertesz on the proposed makeover of 3007 Clinton Ave. They're pitching a U-shaped, four-story apartment building on the current site of the Storer Meat Co. distribution facility. The proposal is part of a rental-housing push in downtown Cleveland and a handful of growing city neighborhoods. In Ohio City, developers still are tying up historic buildings for residential conversions. But they're also grabbing sites for ground-up construction, for anything from 60 to several hundred units. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/12/geis_joint_venture_pursues_ohi.html#incart_more_business

Manziel is 2" shorter than Dalton, not 1". Too bad that doesn't equate to playoff wins....

I might have a few cobwebs, but I'll take the ginger over the midget. Why? last time I checked the ginger and Johnny have the same amount of playoff wins. Stings, doesn't it?

Almost as scared as we are of your gingerbread QB. What was his QB rating last time he faced the Browns? I know, I know....who cares about Qb ratings when you've won as many playoff games as Dalton has.
  11. ^Why is TCU more deserving than Ohio State?
  12. Some units are priced much higher than $3600 The apartments in the Breuer tower are more than 90 percent leased, Greg Geis said, while the smaller units in the 1010 building are 75 percent leased. Some of the first apartments to go were the 3,000-square-foot units at the top of the tower, which rent for $5,995 a month. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/09/first_look_at_the_9_project_in.html

  14. Giant Eagle pulls out of Cleveland project, leaving Fifth Church block plans in limbo CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Giant Eagle has pulled out of a planned shopping center on Cleveland's West Side, throwing the future of a gateway block to the city - and the fate of an empty, historic church - back into limbo. City officials and real estate developers confirmed this week that Giant Eagle recently abandoned plans to open a Market District Express on Clifton Boulevard, at West 116th Street. The small grocery store would have been the first of its kind in Ohio and the main attraction at the Shoppes on Clifton, a retail strip proposed by the Carnegie Cos. of Solon. The collapse of the deal is another setback for a neighborhood that has seen myriad redevelopment plans surface, and subside, during the last two decades. This year, it finally seemed as though something might happen on the block bounded by West 116th and West 117th streets, Clifton and Lake Avenue. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/11/giant_eagle_pulls_out_of_cleve.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  15. Maker's Mark Many Clevelanders have pinned their comeback hopes on the near West Side's trendy neighborhoods, but it's the East Side producer city that really counts. When Clevelanders think about a revitalized city, they often picture West 25th Street in Ohio City. There, farm-to-table restaurants, microbreweries and the West Side Market anchor a nationally respected food scene. Ohio City has become an "it" neighborhood, not only a place to play, but also to live. Much of the near West Side, including Tremont and Detroit Shoreway, is going through a similar transformation. So is downtown. These developments are welcome, but they are not really enough to sustain a resurgence in an entire city's economy. Much of the activity in those neighborhoods is related to what some economists call the "consumer city": places where money is spent consuming local goods, be it a Great Lakes Brewing Co. beer or an Ohio City loft. http://www.clevelandmagazine.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=E73ABD6180B44874871A91F6BA5C249C&nm=&type=Publishing&mod=Publications::Article&mid=1578600D80804596A222593669321019&tier=4&id=B868538DCC554582894399E12378C4B2

    ^Foster not playing is HUGE.
  17. ^Tough game to predict. Hate to put it on one guy but this game is going to come down to the performance of JT Barrett. If he can handle the pressure of MSU's defense, along with playing on the road, I think the Bucks will roll. If not, it could get ugly. The experience he gained playing at State College should help big time in this match-up.
  18. Stark's drawing has 31 stories and I believe the new EY tower is 15' per floor.
  19. New nuCLEus Project would change Cleveland's skyline CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A big development project may be both benefiting from and adding to downtown's momentum. It has a great marketing name: nuCLEus would be in the center of key downtown areas and help create a new vision of the city. It's a $300 million dollar project that includes a 30-story office tower, a parking garage and 500 apartments, plus shopping and restaurants. http://www.wkyc.com/story/news/local/cleveland/2014/11/06/nucleus-project/18625091/

  22. Stark Enterprises seeks early approvals for 'nuCLEus,' large mixed-use project near The Q CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Stark Enterprises is seeking early approvals and financing help from the city of Cleveland for a downtown project that could marry 500 apartments, offices, stores, restaurants, a hotel and structured parking. Representatives for the developer expect to appear at a city design review committee meeting Thursday and the Cleveland City Planning Commission on Friday. Both bodies will consider conceptual plans for a project called nuCLEus, slated for a large parking lot and other property north of Quicken Loans Arena. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/11/stark_enterprises_seeks_early.html
  23. He's out there making plays on special teams while still learning the defense. He lost a lot of reps in fall camp due to a hamstring injury. That's the only reason he's currently behind Tanner. Smith will eventually become the best safety on the team. If Glover wants to be a D1 safety he better put on 30lbs. I believe he will stay a CB... "While Cam Burrows and Vonn Bell are listed as co-starters at free safety, expect for Burrows to slide down to the dime back position when the Buckeyes are facing obvious passing situations. Erick Smith cracking the two-deep as a true freshman is also intriguing, as the hard-hitting safety from Cleveland Glenville has the potential to be an X-factor on the OSU defense". http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2176702-ohio-state-football-5-takeaways-from-the-buckeyes-final-depth-chart
  24. Looks like you should have trusted what you heard on an internet forum over your source ;) http://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-depth-charts/depth-chart/ohio-state/91533 That's okay, Erick is right on schedule....I see him out there making plays on special teams. You know he's caught Urban's eye now. Once Erick mentally understands the defense, he'll be in the rotation. Von Bell is the only safety on the roster more physically gifted than Smith. Future 1st team All-American.
