  1. UC had nothing to do with this. A couple of 20 year old kids did this. And the "secondary" language is silly. UC is a major top 25 public research University. Why does it seem like everyone in CIN has little man's complex?
  2. This is not true.

  5. Well I think you're going to be surprised when Smith plays over Lattimore. EVERY scouting site ranks Smith over him. They can't all be wrong, right? Also I know a guy (knew more when Tress was there) currently on the OSU coaching staff. I can tell you they are in love with this kid. Sorry man, I'm going with what Im hearing from my source over anything I hear on an internet forum. He'll be in the two deep at the beginning of Fall camp. At least, thats what's expected.
  6. BTW Smith won't be competing against Apple and Conley as they are CB's. With TWO ACL tears I wouldn't count on Bogard too much. The other guys you named (Tanner, Thompson, Worley) are special team type guys.
  7. I think you're going to be wrong on this one. This kid is a flat out player. UM said he's going to play in his presser on Weds. Alabama was another team that offered Erick, so there's that. I'm not a big ranking guy myself but one site had him listed as the 5th best safety in the country, while another ranked him as the 2nd best. He sees time before Lattimore. I'd bet on that. http://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Erick-Smith-143554;_ylt=Ag2LY7hHfwBAhTicD8ink3VGPZB4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7whIyKz0ho#t=112
  8. ^I like Erik Smith A lot. He was the only tarblooder that showed up in the state championship. Here's what one writer had to say about him: Rated as the 2nd most impactful defensive player. #1 was McMillian. 2. S - Erick Smith It's a luxury to have a safety that covers like a cornerback, and as of Wednesday, that luxury now belongs to the Buckeyes. Smith can cover like a cornerback and hit like a linebacker, which is exactly what every coach wants out of their safety. Even though he won't be enrolling until this summer, Urban Meyer said Smith would step right into the depth chart. If we are to assume that Cameron Burrows is now the starting nickel back and Tyvis Powell and Vonn Bell are the safeties (this is not yet a sure thing), then that is three jobs that will be handled by entirely new starters. Smith could end up at any of those three spots, and play. http://www.theozone.net/recruiting/Football2012_14/Defense_InstantImpact.html
  9. This place didn't take long to fill Popular Mason's Creamery Inks Deal for Ohio City Retail/Production Space It's been a mere nine months since Jesse Mason and Helen Qin officially sold the very first scoop of Mason's Creamery ice cream. But by early spring, the endearing couple will open their own production and retail space, in the former home of Ohio City Ice Cream and, before that, Dari Delite (4401 Bridge Ave.). For the past 60 years, the ice cream shop operated as a seasonal attraction, with customers purchasing their chilly treats from a pair of walk-up windows. When Mason's Creamery opens in April, it will be as a year-round operation. http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2014/02/06/popular-masons-creamery-inks-deal-for-ohio-city-retailproduction-space

  11. developer set to break ground on ultra-green tremont townhomes The for-sale housing market remains tepid in many Cleveland neighborhoods, but it never really cooled down in Tremont. That's because this historic neighborhood remains popular, full of vitality and, frankly, small, which means there never is an abundance of houses on the market. When a properly priced Tremont house is listed, it usually sells. And that's certainly true of the Cottages on Thurman, a new Tremont development. Developer (ARC) form of Tremont has pre-sold two detached, green-built townhomes off of plans. Principal and founder Jeffrey Eizember expects to break ground and go vertical within the next two months. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/cottagesonthurman020614.aspx
  12. ^Happened in Pitt.
  13. Weren't you the one denying that these were going to be 100% market rate last month? What's your motive of trying to poke holes at this development? Just curious.
  14. ^My apologies. I was just offering my opinion of SF as many others have.
  15. Okay what's the topic we are allowed to speak on? Someone posted a link on the page before regarding the reputation of cities around the world.
  16. ^I concur. IMO it's not worth the cost of living to have to deal with some of the things I've witnessed in SF. Nasty, but to each their own, right.
  17. ^So it doesn't rain in SF? :-o :-o
  18. ^CDawg isn't from Cleveland and I believe he currently lives in SF. Sounds to me like he's just offering his honest opinion.
  19. ^Thanks man, keep us updated...Great news so far tho!
  20. ^BS. You haven't a clue...and the more you post the more evident it is.
  21. Cleveland's West Side to have a high-performing high school: an early college high school run by Bard College CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland school district will start a West Side counterpart in the fall to the East Side’s Early College High School, the region’s highest-scoring school on state tests. The new school, which will specialize in college preparation and having students earn early credits for college, will be created in partnership with New York's Bard College. Students will be able to graduate from high school with an associates degree from Bard and ideally have 60 credit hours from Bard that will transfer to other schools. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/01/clevelands_west_side_to_have_a.html#incart_river_default
  22. Cleveland plans to add 70 miles of bikeways by the end of 2017 CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The city of Cleveland plans to more than double the amount of bike-friendly routes in town, adding 70 miles of dedicated lanes, trails and pavement markings by the end of 2017. An update of Cleveland's bikeway plan, introduced Sunday at the annual meeting of the advocacy group Bike Cleveland, showed almost 45 miles of bikeways added over the next two years, and another 25.6 miles in the following two years. The overall goal is to connect every Cleveland neighborhood to a bikeway network, said Jenita McGowan, the city's chief of sustainability. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/01/cleveland_plans_to_add_70_mile.html#incart_river_default
  23. Early work to begin on turning former Cleveland school district HQ into Drury hotel Workers have installed black chain link fences around the former administration building of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District at 1380 E. Sixth St. in downtown Cleveland, but its makeover as a hotel will not get into gear for several months. Look for more cleanup and asbestos abatement crews to be working on the building soon, said Dennis Vollink, president of St. Louis-based Drury Hotels Southwest. However, construction work for the proposed Drury Plaza Hotel may not begin in earnest until next summer, Mr. Vollink said. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20140117/FREE/140119804
  24. Ohio City's Newest Bistro Comes out of Hiding for its Winter Debut For the past year, Diane Miller has been quietly at work turning a handsome brick storefront on a quiet block in Ohio City into a restaurant. Miller has done her best to keep the details of the project under the radar (despite my attempt last year to pry the story loose), but given that opening day is just around the bend, the cat officially is out of the bag. Within the month, Pastas and Pastries will open at 3800 Whitman Avenue, just around the corner from St. Patrick's Church. Miller is not in this alone; she has enlisted industry veteran Ron Heinbaugh as her partner, pulling the former Snicker's and Crazy Mac's owner out of restaurant retirement. http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2014/01/16/ohio-citys-newest-bistro-comes-out-of-hiding-for-its-winter-debut
