  1. I'm thinking Joe Smith. Put Masty in as either the long reliever or set up guy.
  2. Paradise found: Porco Lounge brings Tiki drinks, Polynesian pop and exotic decor to Cleveland's West 25th Street No man is an island? Well, allow me to introduce you to Stefan Was. A man who heard the thunder and the voices of the Tiki gods. A man who took them in as his muse. A man who said, “I shall build this temple to the gods of Polynesia, even as the hordes worship at the altar of craft beer.” We, OK, he didn’t actually say that. But he is doing something no man has done, at least in Cleveland, in decades. On Oct. 5, Was will open Porco Lounge & Tiki Room, 2527 West 25th St., Cleveland. http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2013/09/paradise_found_porco_lounge_br.html#incart_river_default
  3. West Shoreway conversion to boulevard with Lake Erie access gets funding, is set to begin in the spring CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A decade-long push to link Cleveland's West Side to the lakefront has the final piece of funding to complete the project. Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and Gov. John Kasich held a news conference today at Edgewater Park overlooking Lake Erie to announce $20 million in state funding to turn the Shoreway into a lower-speed, tree-lined boulevard. Construction on revamping the roadway is to start next spring. http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2013/09/west_shoreway_conversion_to_bo.html#incart_river_default
  4. Zack Bruell will open Kafeteria in former BP Building on Cleveland's Public Square: Restaurant Row CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Here’s refreshing news. Zach Bruell isn’t opening another restaurant this year. Oh, wait. No. He’s opening an entire cafeteria. Make that Kafeteria, the name Bruell has chosen for his next project – on the third floor of 200 Public Square, formerly known as the BP Building in downtown Cleveland. http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2013/09/zack_bruell_will_open_kafeteri.html#incart_river_default

  7. The Langston at Cleveland State campus getting two new eateries: Restaurant Row CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland State University students and staff, and other workers in the area of Chester Avenue at East 22nd Street will find a couple more places to grab a meal or snack by year's end. Wrapz Pita Bar and Lemonberry Frozen Yogurt will open in The Langston, a mixed-use residential complex near the university campus. Both businesses are new to downtown Cleveland. The complex already includes a Pizza Hut restaurant. http://www.cleveland.com/dining/index.ssf/2013/09/the_langston_at_cleveland_stat.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

I now take my odds of the browns winning the super bowl down to 50%. My co-worker said "You might as well just bet on red or black at that point." I said "I only play on roulette tables that are orange and brown."
  10. If they get a win tonight it will be hard for them NOT to make the wild card. How bout that bullpen?
  11. Visiting Cleveland, on Purpose Cleveland In a 2008 episode of '30 Rock,' Liz Lemon (played by Tina Fey) faced a big decision at an airport security check: Keep a still-hot sandwich or dump it fly to Cleveland for love. Lemon’s choice is obvious. Poor Cleveland didn't stand a chance. http://www.mensjournal.com/travel/cities/visiting-cleveland-on-purpose-20130911?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=1753782
  12. I doubt any opposing defensive coordinator would rather face Braxton over KG....When picking your poison, you probably want the one that kills you in your sleep, not the one that shoots you in the face with 80-yard touchdown runs.

  14. Anyone wanna bet this place is fully leased before it's finished?
  15. Looks like UC couldn't handle playing the B10 in back to back games....And they lost their QB. OUCH!
  16. Stats show Americans not that into driving anymore WASHINGTON - Driving in America has stalled, leading researchers to ask: Is the national love affair with the automobile over? After rising for decades, total vehicle use in the U.S. -- the collective miles people drive -- peaked in August 2007. It then dropped sharply during the Great Recession and has largely plateaued since, even though the economy is recovering and the population growing. Just this week the Federal Highway Administration reported vehicle miles traveled during the first half of 2013 were down slightly, continuing the trend. http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/traffic/traffic_news/stats-show-americans-not-that-into-driving-anymore
  17. 5th street arcades adds several new retailers, nears 100 percent occupancy The historic Colonial and Euclid Arcades in downtown Cleveland suffered from 40 percent vacancy last year, yet this year they added a slew of new shops and have gone from half-empty to nearly completely full. Renamed the 5th Street Arcades, the once-moribund properties have been turned around by Dick Pace of Cumberland Development, who has breathed new life into the spaces by luring entrepreneurial tenants with fresh concepts and excitement about downtown. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/5thstreetarcades082913.aspx
  18. hmmm interesting. I see em all the time at W.65th redline station. Just saw one early this AM on my way to work.
  19. Cameras? Really? On the gritty west side? They'll be smashed in an instant, or painted over, or some other form of vandalism. Has anyone considered embracing the surrounding environment by letting the graffiti happen? They can strategically place a camera out of harms way. And to answer your question. NO.
  20. Newest commit for the Buckeyes class of 2015. #1 ranked player in the country for his age. Check out his Soph highlight film.
  21. e.rocc do you know which gang was involved here? WESTLAKE, Ohio -- The Westlake school district is offering a reward to find out who is behind the weekend vandalism at the city's new high school. At least nine fire extinquishers were discharged and buckets of water and glue were tipped over throughout the new school's rotunda, media center, academic wings and the auxiliary gym when the vandals broke in on Saturday night. Schools spokeswoman Kim Bonvissuto said the damage is not expected to delay the scheduled opening of school on Sept. 4. "It's more an issue of cleaning up and replacing tile squares," she said. http://www.cleveland.com/westlake/index.ssf/2013/08/westlake_high_school_hit_with.html#incart_river_default
  22. ^Really?!? Like the one in Solon?
  23. Weston emerges as potential buyer of three of Cuyahoga County's downtown Cleveland buildings CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Warrensville Heights developer could pay $3.4 million for a trio of Cuyahoga County's downtown Cleveland properties, including a Warehouse District office building that might become apartments. Weston Inc. has emerged as the likely buyer for the Marion Building, the Superior Auto Title building and the Hamilton Garage, three of the 13 properties that the county put up for sale last year. The sales are part of a larger government real estate shuffle, as the county prepares to consolidate its offices in a new headquarters building at East Ninth Street and Prospect Avenue. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2013/08/weston_emerges_as_potential_bu.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

The Rams are better than the Browns, so when Cleveland players start screwing up, will Bernie have that same passion? Fisher did overreact. Can't stand Fisher but he can coach. The rams will certainly not be better than the Browns THIS YEAR! You really lost me with your Fisher can coach comment...What are you basing that on? His 61 - 67 record since 2002?!?!
