    ^ That's excellent. Thanks!
  2. For our guest, ohpenn, as you can see Cleveland has its problems. But this amount of new projects is not what I would call a typical amount of developments say a few years ago. The stream of new projects keeps coming, and it seems there's a new announcement weekly. It definitely is exciting to see this city with this kind of momentum and to get this type of exposure, even some national media here and there regarding it. It should help to make the city a more desirable destination for businesses, conventions and the like.

I'd love a stat on what percentage of the region's workforce works in their respective CBDs.
  4. What an itinerary... Chris Ronayne is my personal favorite on the list.
  5. Yikes. Marquis vs Marquee. At least your smart enough to know what I meant.
  6. I know people have said otherwise on this forum, but I've held it down long enough and I have to say... I can't stand this design. Not trying to drop a cleveland.bomb, but this is a marquis project going on in Cleveland right now and THAT is what we decided on? It looks like a wavy, uninviting, concrete box. Am I the only one? If so, so be it. Too late to do anything about it now.
  7. The more I think about this project, the more excited I get about the proposal. I think this has to be some of the best development news in Cleveland (though it has some stiff competition). To name a few: 1) It expands the residential base of downtown outside of the Warehouse District, E4th/Euclid centers further north up E9th 2) It brings life to a completely vacant property on a main Cleveland street 3) It provides full time residents to a predominantly 9-5 business district. 4) It is unique for downtown residential properties. The majority are redevolopment of warehouses and 3-5 story buildings. This is a 21-story, modern-feeling glass high rise. It brings a different dynamic to someone contemplating downtown living. But I digress. Now let's keep fingers crossed about that funding...
  8. Gotta love Bernie on TV in the renderings. Tugging at the heartstrings.
  9. I didn't see this anywhere else, so I'll try it here. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/03/cleveland_connects_audience_he.html#incart_mce DISCLAIMER: When you're done with the article, STOP SCROLLING. Comments are escpecially rough on this one.
  10. Right, releasing Steinbach only makes sense if you plan on using that cap space or you have a better player on the roster. Neither are true.
  11. Someone explain the point of cutting Steinbach's $6 mil salary for cap space if the Browns aren't using their cap space? I get a lot of their moves (not signing Hillis, not trading a half decade of 1st round picks for RG3) but this one is baffling. The guy was always a very good player here.
  12. My fiance graduated this spring from Case's social work program and the Social Work ranking was #9 when she was there as well.
  13. I disagree. I'm native Clevelander down in Columbus and Piada's are appearing everywhere here because people like them. Very similar to a Chipotle and still fairly unique (not over saturated like, say, a Chipotle). I'd still rather have a restaurant like this instead of vacant storefronts on highly visited areas, like Euclid and Prospect.
  14. Nice - don't know what the problem is with a Chipotle and Five Guys. Infill baby. Yum.

Amazing news. I'd love to see some sketches.
  16. Don't read the comments, don't read the comments, don't read the comments.
  17. Players and coaches have too much on the line to "tank" games. They're just not good after injuries and zero depth. Top 3 picks... WR, RT and LB.
  18. As I recall, Eaton's demands for their new campus in the flats looked a lot like a ransom note with requirements the city could not possibly meet. I doubt the site was ever actually in the running.
  19. Wow, beautiful neighborhood! I am slightly embarassed that I had no idea there are houses like this in Glenville.
