  1. That should about do it.... but you've gotta like the way this team fought all year. Their window is 2012-13... until Jimenez's contract is up. Now let's see if they can get a few bats this offseason.
  2. I still wonder why Jenni's Ice Cream in Columbus picked Chagrin Falls for their NEO location. No offense to that space, put their two spots Short North/Grandview would make Tremont/Lakewood the comparable spot. Oh well, random thoughts, good for Mitchells!
  3. "The second-story flagpoles that line Prospect Avenue and Ontario Street will be restored. " My favorite line. I always thought raising flags there would add a touch of class and color to the area. Really starting to like this project. With the exception of adding even more parking downtown. Net gain I guess.
  4. Tribe Time!
  5. "Swuuuuuung on and missed! Ballgame!"

This would probably make Varejao expendable unfortunately. Pick up another first rounder in 2012? PG Irving PF Hickson C Kanter sounds like some great pieces.
  7. Hey, they've been riding some pretty great luck in some of these games. About time that luck flipped. Also, bench O Cab? Heart and soul of this team. Without a doubt. But as for Kearns, call up a kid from the Clippers. Any AAA outfielder can hit over .150 in the bigs.
  8. I like the fact it's a bit hidden, it doesn't get trappled over like some of the other hot spots in CLE, like E4th, the Melts, etc. You really have to know what you're doing to get there.
  9. Sunk cost.
  10. This is one of my favorite spots in the summer. So no more $1.25 24 oz PBRs? I completely agree with Serge... there are plenty of trendy, $5 microbrew, $10 cocktail bars in Cleveland. I love the vibe here as is.
  11. Jimmy John's and Moe's. Typical college right there. Nice.
  12. Howl at the Moon should have done so much better. It was borderline depressing there on a Friday night. I bet if it went to 4th or Warehouse District it would rake. Big Bang here in Columbus.... you can't even get in past 11 on the weekends. Hopefully it'll be back.
  13. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/12/28/cnn-poll-plurality-of-democrats-say-cleveland-rocks/ This would be pretty good exposure for the city. Thoughts?
  14. I know everyone was thinking this is a bad Forbes list, as was I. I actually had already typed a rant about "How could Forbes put an article up featuring our shimmering skyline and we aren't even in the 15 Worst Cities for Finding a Job?!" Right before posting I thought, maybe, just maybe, we would be on the Top 15 Best Cities for Finding a Job. And look at that. Number 11. http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/18/best-worst-cities-to-find-jobs-leadership-careers-employment.html
  15. That gave me goosebumps. Well done.
  16. That's whats mind-boggling to me....These are FEDERAL FUNDS he would be refusing! I know there will need to be some sort of subsidy to keep it up and running, but how much per Ohioan will that come out to be? A little old, but relevant. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/11/mark-sanford-republican-governor-stimulus-money
  17. Saw this thread and thought this was worth mentioning. If you've been around Cleveland and seen these shirts, now you know where they came from. Just got 4 the other day... http://cleclothingco.com/
  18. On my morning jog noticed that there is a Zoup going in next to Jimmy John's on Euclid and there is a builder's permit in the window of the supposed Blackfinn spot on 4th and Euclid. Windows are all painted white like when there was work going on at Chinato.
  19. We don't have a Bernie.

This is probably repetitive, but "exspecially" instead of "especially" and "firmiliar" instead of "familiar".
  21. At first glance, I thought this was primarily due to the housing markets here being so depressed. But if so, where's Detroit and Flint? Good for Ohio.
  22. ^ I try to not be the pessimistic Browns fan, but I can't possibly see how it is any more than a bargaining chip. Seattle is going to give him whatever he wants now.
  23. You go right on with your lil dream. HAHA! Yessss, Go Browns!!!! Incredible game, Magini probably saved his job.
