  1. Deutsche Bahn to pay its first-ever dividend German rail operator Deutsche Bahn will pay its owner - the federal government - 500 million euros in its first dividend since it was founded as a private joint stock company in 1994. The company posted a profit of 1.06 billion euros in 2010. Dividend payments are expected to continue in future years, rising to 525 million euros from 2012 to 2014, and then to 700 million in 2015. "We're trying to obtain the highest possible level of investment," German Transport Minister Peter Ramsauer said. http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,14971427,00.html
  2. Here's another article from the automotive world about declining auto ownership: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/23/report-teen-car-sales-drop-as-jobs-remain-scarce/
  3. I was reading up on some automobile news and came across this http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100601/RETAIL03/100609990/1186 article about the declining number of drivers licenses being issued. A lot of interesting bits like: "His theory is that almost everything about digital media and technology makes cars less desirable or useful and public transportation a lot more relevant." "Real-estate markets that have been less affected or quicker to recover include Boston and San Francisco, which have strong urban rail systems. In New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, Denver and Chicago, housing prices near new or existing train stations have either been among the first to recover or have seen less depreciation during the bursting of the housing bubble." And this is on a auto news site. I know my sister in Boston specifically picked a home in walking distance to a T station.
  4. Did you have to post this in a thread? Or could you have PM'd me to ask this...as far as Urban Ohio goes this and the banks thread is my only concern. I follow many other forums as they discuss constructing towers. As Cygnus stated this is an exciting thing for Cincinnati, and I'm excited to watch it going up everyday and "every step" is exciting to me. I use to work in construction when I was a teen and I loved every minute of it, until I went to college... but if I want I can post every second of the day if need be...none of this concerns you however. You needn't be offended. I'm genuinely curious, since I saw you begin posting about the project. Or was. Makes sense though that you have posted in other forums about different construction projects. My curiosity doesn't seem to be very welcome though.
  5. I totally agree. I was in Berlin shortly after the subway stations in the east were reopened. It was really cool to ride into a station that hadn't been touched in 50ish years, like time travel.
  6. And then there's this: http://www.barrelhouse.com/barrelhouse_web_page_018.htm OH YEAH! Gotta love the beer!
  7. You also can see some of Duveneck's work at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington. Here's a link: http://www.covcathedral.com/tour11a.htm

If the tire says 80 psi, then do 80 psi. Running lower is just inefficient. Plus you'll increase the chance of pinch flats. If everything is in place, proper tire/tube installation, healthy rim/spokes and rim tape (the separator between rim and tube), everything will work and you'll be much happier. Two of my bicycles run at 110psi and I wouldn't run them lower.
