  2. Some love from the NY Post; If you were an Ohioan back in the early ’80s, you might remember “New York’s the Big Apple, but Cleveland’s a Plum,” an ad campaign to rebrand the failing Rust Belt town. Though it never stuck, today’s Cleveland is earning laurels for its homegrown talent, like Iron Chef Michael Symon, along with farm-to-table eateries, award-winning craft breweries and cool art spaces. Here’s where to find them. http://nypost.com/2013/10/01/cleveland-is-seeing-a-revival/

  7. Whoever Sawyer hired to do his PR, they are doing a great job. I mean everyday there is another mention somewhere locally and now nationally. Nice work. Ex-Parea Chef Opens NYC-Inspired Noodlecat Next Week ... in Cleveland Jonathon Sawyer, former executive chef of Michael Symon's short-lived Parea (and onetime unfortunate forager of mushrooms), is set to open his second restaurant in Cleveland next Tuesday. Noodlecat will serve Japanese-style noodle dishes, made with local produce. "Selfishly," the chef tells the Plain Dealer, "I've just wanted to have good noodles in Cleveland ever since I've come back from New York City." http://newyork.grubstreet.com/2011/07/ex-parea_chef_opens_ny-inspire.html and the referenced interview Jonathon Sawyer to Open Noodlecat in Cleveland This Summer Chef Sawyer discusses his new green-certified Japanese noodle joint At the Scottsdale Culinary Festival last weekend Chef Jonathon Sawyer of Cleveland’s Greenhouse Tavern confided that he was working on a new project. Sawyer, a member of Food & Wine's 2010 class of Best New Chefs, will be opening Noodlecat, a 60-seat, Japanese, green-certified noodle joint in July around the corner from the Tavern. http://www.thedailymeal.com/jonathan-sawyer-open-noodlecat-cleveland-summer#ixzz1Rv3DNfnY

  9. This is Great. After countless delays and setbacks, all New Yorkers can agree that today marks a major accomplishment at Ground Zero. Earlier today, construction workers installed a Subway sandwich shop atop a crane that will rise alongside the Freedom Tower during construction. http://gothamist.com/2009/12/23/subway_sandwich_shop_takes_to_the_s.php#comments

  11. Unhealthy market KOs health products bldg. Gary Barnett's proposed 60-story skyscraper on W. 34th Street -- cater-corner to the Javits Center -- is apparently kaput. The anchor tenant for the 1.5-million-foot tower, the World Product Centre, was supposed to take 1 million square feet, but will take advantage of falling rents and lease 300,000 feet elsewhere. The half tile is a soaking tub in the master suite baths of the 100 stack units. Per the floor plans there are separate standing showers. Also the tile pattern is picked by the buyer. Each unit is custom built.
