  1. increased revenue does not equate to increased happiness. Im scared to what will happen to some peoples sense of control. A voter refrendum has already passed not allowing gambling this does not mean a "nanny state" it means we dont want this crap corrupting our population to spend more money they dont have.
  2. well i didnt really read the whole thread so i dont know if this one was mention but in "my fellow americans" jack lemons character is from cleveland and half the movie they are trying to get to cuyohaga falls to his presidential musuem. i know its an obscure refrence but oh well half the post on here arent really on point either
  3. Well from what I gather your friend kind of has a justification for her complaints because she believes them to be illegally tresspassing in our country and they just so happen to have moved in next door to her. Racism is not something the average American should tolerate in our everyday life. However our borders should be sacred so we are able to enforce the laws of our constitution and protect its citizens. Its kind of funny we might think makes us better then them just because of where we were born? But if we go to another country we have to follow their laws and rules just how we follow our own here.
  4. For being such a small town it seems its population is pretty diverse. Is the swell of immigration to painesville good or bad to the city?
  5. OK ive tried several of the cleveland area suggestions on this page and one by one i was expecting great pizza and good quality. Ive come to the conclussion my taste buds are far more advanced then everyone who is posting on this page....lol The pizza has been much better then every chain ive ever had and alot of them were worth ordering again, but if this is the best pizza cleveland has got then i guess ill have to take a drive down to tiffin once in a while and get my fix on reino's pizza. Maybe Im too picky and Im looking for what i grew up on and Im not having any luck :(
  6. I must say reino's in tiffin ohio will kick the crap of any other place! for real im not joking. one bit and youll be hooked
  7. obviously i recognised it as gibberish
  8. kinda gibberish

Well this whole issue is practically dead. Its a shame that property owners lost some of their rights with the smoking ban. Im sure not all businesses lost business but im sure that the bars and restaurants in the cities that border states that dont have such bans....however thats speculative.
  11. Ok we are getting just a little off base..lol Im sure a philly sub is excellent but Im sure you dont have to be in Philly to cook one nor do you have to be in New York to make a New York style Pizza. I also i dont want to bash restaurants on this thread either. These people are hard working and trying to make a buck if they have a customer base and a niche who are we to judge?? Lets just talk about our personal favorites and give credit where credit is do!

  13. darn tootin! but my concern is for those people that want to stay in their area and dont want to commute..blah blah blah just playing devils advocate... I dont really care considering i have a 30 minute commute every day to work. And i work with lasey idiots that wouldnt know how to tie their shoe if they didnt sing the "bunny ear" song.

If you remember the abolishionist were the conservative religous folk from the north. However when you want to change society and the status quoa you're always going to have a fight. But isnt a slow gradual change better then a radical over night change?
  15. whats to say if these GI's get an education here then take jobs that a perfectly good ohioan might have gotten with the same education background but without the millitary service on the resume. Sounds like native born ohioians are put at a disadvantage for employment oppertunities.
  16. Ill have to vincenza's is it a sweeter sauce? or more spicey?
  17. you all need to drive to tiffin ohio and try reino's pizza. It a whole in the wall mom and pop italian restaurant with lots of character and charmed. its unchanged since the 1950's and was started by a first generation italian named frank reino. his name sake pizza the "frankie's original" is absolutely mouth watering. Since ive lived in cleveland ive tried many different places and pretty much the area that i have found that has the pizza up here is parma. The market in parma is so saturated that these places have to be top quality to compete P. Jays is the best pizza i have found up here. thats my own personal taste though. No frills or funny looking toppings just good pizza.
  18. Kitten, im sure cleveland will be glad to have you! lol
  19. Well if you folks ever make it to Tiffin there is a place called Reino's they have a delicious pizza called the Frankie's Original it has a chunky tomato sauce, hardstick peperoni, very high quality cheese the kind that takes a minute to chew instead of dissolving in your mouth like so many chain restaurants. They have a very tasty pizza and has been around for over 50 years.
  20. I have been all over the state, staying in various hotels and ordering a pizza for dinner sounds like an easy objective. Not so easy when you are as picky as I am. Anyone out there have a favorite pizza place they want to share? Lets share the best mom and pop pizza places in our communities. If you like pizza hut or papa johns then dont waste your breath on this post!! :-D
  21. That sounds fun, wish i would have known about it.
  22. Tiffins Heritage festival is always fun and Marion has a huge popcorn festival. But to me these smell town festivals aren't what they used to be. Maybe because I'm an adult and Ive had one too many elephant ears or the fact they seem to be getting smaller and less money invested and lower turn out. do these other towns have pretty good turn outs for their festivals?
