Cincinnati: Housing Market / Affordable Housing
^I think that statement was wordly carefully to build excitement. Reading it or hearing it, the interested majority would say "Wow--what a hot market, maybe I should check into this". The minority would take the time to look at information behind the statistic. Holly is very smart. Statistics are not just about numbers, but how they are presented.

Have You Ever Had Tax Trouble?
In the very early days of e-filing, I filed my return using a what was then a new software called TurboTax. I was so proud I had done something so cutting edge. I even had a confirmation number from TurboTax the filing. Months later, I recieved a letter from the IRS I needed to file my taxes, pay my taxes and pay a fine. It seems my transmission never made it through to the IRS and Turbotax could not trace it. Thankfully, e-filing has improved by leaps and bounds since those days.

Is this in response to my post? Because I don't think I am mixing them up since I live in the West End (City West).

Cincinnati: Brent Spence Bridge
^ I disagree. Many know the location of Queensgate and avoid it. I believe it is an area is grossly underdeveloped in its current state and has a reputation of high crime. That being said, there are some architectural jewels (Union Terminal, the FOX19 news center, Longfellow Hall and the original Main Postal Center ) in Queengate that could shine if the right development occured. Outside of that, you have a bunch of old warehouse buildings, a water treatment center, a large hotel that needs to be imploded, and some scattered mid rise office buildings that offer no architectural significance. I can't imagine the occupancy rate is that high on some of the older properties. I see many that appear abandoned. Much of the area serves the rail yard. I often wonder how the area might develop if the railyard was moved to the outskirts of the Metro area. The realignment of I-75 and the new Brent Spence Bridge will have a bearing on what the future holds for Queensgate.

How do you get your movies?
At least he didn't go where I thought he was going with that thought. All I could think upon reading the first few words was peeping tom!!!!!

How do you get your movies?
On Demand. We have tried Netflix and Blockbuster mail services, but the movies seem to sit on our coffee table for months. I prefer watching them in a theatre, but that gets very costly.

A Little Help? Class Project Discussing the Popularity Downtown Cincy.
It is a problem downtown==especially once you get outside of the Fountain Square area. When I lived at 7th and Race, I constantly got asked for money. I even had a guy call up to my apartment and ask for money to pick up his prescriptions from Walgreens--it was an emergency he said. It was 9pm on a Sunday night---Walgreens was closed. I told him that and hung up. This was more of a nuisance for me than anything. I never felt frightened or scared. I just told them no and moved on. But some safety classes for people to strengthen there urban living skills could be beneficial--keep safe is a big issue for some.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
I don't think they took your hint. Can we get back to talking about the development of the banks? This history of Cincinnati et al is fascinating, but doesn't fit the topic. So how many cranes are up?

A Little Help? Class Project Discussing the Popularity Downtown Cincy.
With the requests for more bars for young, gay, whoever, I think having late night food options to support those activities would be a nice plus. I can't even tell you how many times after a night of drinking I craved diner type food (pancakes always taste good at 2am after you have been boozing it up).---and the places I went were always pack. Just a late night hang-out with free wireless. Cincinnati doesn't offer this option downtown.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Nothing is done until it is built and running in this town. I think the Council has approved the plan---although not unanimously. I am very hopeful it will happen. That being said, I am reminded everytime I drive by the nonfunctioning subway tunnel entrances on I-75 that projects like these can be shut down in any phase for a wide variety of reasons.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Washington Park
I agree that a campaign showing how they have improved people's lives and helped people get gainful employment and stable housing would go far in helping the cause.

Alive Mall? - Bridgewater Falls (Butler County)
But it was probably used as collateral for some other failed real estate development in the burbs. The fall out from over-retailing our nations suburbs is just beginning.

True. I guess I hadn't looked at from that perspective. I just appreciate the Superbowl as a piece of Americana that should be celebrated no matter what teams make it to the game.
