Unions: News & Discussion
What I find troubling is the willingness of the union leaders to ride a company into the ground rather than accept a wage freeze. Where did this sense of entitlement spring from?

Unions: News & Discussion
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/union2.nr0.htm The union membership rate for public sector workers (36.8 percent) was substantially higher than the rate for private industry workers (7.6 percent). Within the public sector, local government workers had the highest union membership rate, 42.2 percent. This group includes many workers in several heavily unionized occupations, such as teachers, police officers, and fire fighters. Private sector industries with high unionization rates include transportation and utilities (22.2 percent), telecommunications (19.3 percent), and construction (15.6 percent). In 2008, unionization rates were relatively low in financial activities (1.8 percent) and professional and business services (2.1 percent). Interesting that of the public sectors in trouble, they have the highest rates of unionized membership. Just a point.

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
I may be mistaken but didn't Z. Reed try to turn his last DUI conviction into a prejudicial thing too? IMO, that whole press conference smacks of desperation.

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
I found it quite amusing him attacking anyone that had reported anything negative about him. Tip of my hat to him for invoking the "vast right wing/ Karl Rove conspiracy" defense. This train wreck just took on a whole new level of amusing.

Chalk one up for the little guy.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
5 Guys Burgers is open in Mayfield. Those of you on the west side already had one but any eastsiders interested in a old fashioned cheeseburger and some fresh cut fries with malt vinegar can get your fix here. (I believe that is a run-on sentence.)

I don't know if I totally agree with you 327, but you do bring up a valid point....and it occurs to me that I never really gave it a second thought on how subtle it was. Very clever.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
The front office is not the one dropping balls and stalling drives. I think he has talent, but I also believe he is a LARGE reason they (the whole team) are where they are at today. Braylon needs to find a way to get back on point, as does some other key players on this team. If not, I am afraid the talented Mr. Edwards may find himself on the back end of a trade.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
"Hall, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was released after he reportedly struggled in the Raiders' man-to-man scheme and was beaten a lot in the first half of the season." Sounds just like what this team needs....because you can never have too many of your D secondary getting beaten man-to-man.

I couldn't agree more. What we witnessed last night was symptomatic of the entire year. With an utter failure to devise a gameplan that produces positive yardage and the inability to effectivley coach on or off the field.

Perhaps killing a chicken might not be such a bad idea for Braylon after-all or maybe a pair of these:
