  1. ^agreed, it was my favorite for the game too. I voted for Pittsburgh because the poll was "who do you think will win" not "who do you want to win". I'm glad I was wrong.

^^If there was ever a post deserving of a bloody ax...

I marked during work, as that's what I'm doing now, but I often look at the forum while on the bus too.

You do realize with Uverse you can set it up to only keep a couple episodes of shows like that right? And by the way, there's nothing wrong with finding cookies stashed under the end table. Those are just crunchy cookies. Finding an apple core stashed under the couch from weeks ago... that's something to be annoyed at.

Well it has started snowing. At least they got that much right.

We've already got 3" of snow east of Cleveland. I'm thinking today might be a bad day for a bike ride.
  8. ^It's a park.
  9. ^It would be cool, but we all know that someone would complain about the government wasting money.
  10. Just a slightly updated photo. and while I'm at it.
  11. ^If the Schofield building had been wrapped in glass instead of aluminum back in the 70's leaving the original facade intact underneath it would've looked awesome.

    LOL
  13. Yeah, they have been doing that like crazy in DC, but the difference is they are not removing the old exterior. This isnt a new concept just at a larger scale! Look at the Schofield building! I wonder what the cost difference between removing the old exterior and just building over it like this. I know one benefit is not having to shut down operations inside Though realistically I'm going to predict productivity will be going down with everyone looking out the window at what they're doing.
  14. ^I could be wrong, but I think the plan was for most to be 2 or 3 stories tall.
  15. Agreed, it's really cool to look at Tower City or see exactly where the entrances to the subway under the Veterans Memorial bridge were.

No he stayed in a Quonset hut.
  17. Technically it was less than a year by a few days.

As a kid I looked just like Neil Patrick Harris except my hair was darker. We looked close enough that I was asked for an autograph a couple times. As adults we look nothing alike though. LOL. Did you sign the autographs? I would have went along with it. Of course. :-D
  19. If history is any indication, GSA is always slower than anyone expects.

Well I know it's an Army post. The crest on the building in the second pic is a Drill Sergeants' badge. And it seems like every military post uses the same handful of building designs that doesn't help. The buildings look like WWII era, by the time of the Korean war and Vietnam war it seems like the Army discovered that bricks last longer than cheap wooden buildings. The fact that the roads haven't fallen apart leads me to guess that this is somewhere in the south.
  22. Trains have wheels too. :-P But I know what you meant. It was a lazy graphics designer who should have used the term "Rapid Transit" in the key instead of "rail." Such Is Life. Except that it isn't really rapid either.
  23. You mean like this triangular park? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Willoughby,+OH&sll=41.638293,-81.461133&sspn=0.002133,0.013089&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Willoughby,+Lake,+Ohio&ll=41.638872,-81.40683&spn=0.001379,0.003272&t=h&z=18 I grew up in Ravenna, it seems to have gone downhill since I was a kid, but it's still a fairly nice town.
  24. So the C line covers the B & C routes minus CSU, Playhouse Square and the Avenue district, because no one takes classes at CSU in the evening, goes to a play that doesn't end before dark, or wants to go home to the E 12th or 13th after dinner. That makes complete sense. I suppose it's better than nothing.
  25. Painesville and Willoughby too.
