Crews are pouring a foundation next to the Wendy's in Mt. Washington. Nothing too exciting, I would assume another fast food restaurant. No signs indicate what is going in, anyone heard anything?

Yes, that is my understanding from the conceptual renderings. Other than a parking lot, there is an ungly fenced-in maintenance shed currently in place. It is in close proximity to Varsity Village and is comparable to what many other schools currently have. I know that Rutgers and Boston College have very similar "bubbles" that are in use for practice during cold/inclement weather.

Have any tenants actually been announced? It seems pretty far in advance. I think an ESPNZone would be really cool and hope that it happens but is that a strong possibility or just speculation?

I think any 24 hour eating establishment within a couple blocks from a large university would have to do well. The Hampton Inn would be nice, but I don't know that the Mariott that sits a couple of blocks away is operating at anywhere near full capacity. Hopefully they find some interesting new tenants for the site, certainly something other than a bank.

I was just down there last night. It it mostly gone, but does not look much different than the photos from a couple weeks ago. I guess now that they are up close to the surrounding structures that work is moving at a much slower pace.
