  1. The very intelligent Browns structured it so he basically doesn’t have a salary in 2022. So even if he misses the whole season, they’re still on the hook for $230mil
  2. I will of course defer to the pro, but isn’t sexual assault notoriously hard to prosecute in general? Specifically because there is often a lack of material evidence? In any case, it’s almost comforting to see the Browns return to their familiar nadir of incompetence. Haslam has to be one of the all time worst owners in all of professional sports.
  3. “Watson then stood up and continued masturbating more aggressively,” the suit claims. “As he did so, Watson asked the Plaintiff, ‘Where do you want me to put it?’ Plaintiff by this point was in complete shock and could not speak. She froze. Watson quickly ejaculated; some of his ejaculate got on Plaintiff’s chest and face.”
  4. It’s cool that the author of that deranged article thinks forcing a woman to touch your genitals or ejaculating on an unwilling massage therapist is being a “sex pest”.
  5. There have been pedestrian tunnels at 65th and 76th since the turn of the century. It wouldn’t have made any sense to put the intersection at 65th. Plenty to criticize about the shoreway plan (like @Htsguysaid the decision to not have at grade intersections), but the placement of the one intersection isn’t it.
  6. I’m actually a little underwhelmed by the finished product. Undeniably a great street presence but a bit monolithic. And the glass is a lot. I’d say it looks better than Quarter phase one (and other similar new apartment builds) but a step down from a design perspective from a lot of the new stuff in Tremont and along Scranton.

I like going back to the 2000s gold, but the net logo and shield are awful. I’ve never liked the shield, but they managed to make it worse by removing the sword. I know they’ve been using the net logo for a while now, but it’s so dull and lifeless. Just use the 90s logo they’re referencing and paint it gold. However all will be forgiven (by me lol) if they bring back the 2000s unis. edit: Also not sure why they seem so reluctant to go back to the 70s and 80s logos that are universally beloved.

Continually flabbergasted by the way the Ohio GOP conducts itself. I don’t understand what their ultimate aim is. Do they just want people to needlessly suffer? Do they want to strip every ounce of joy and comfort from existence? https://www.huffpost.com/entry/jd-vance-senate-pornography_n_628d3ba1e4b05cfc2692705b

Cursed matchup. However, I find myself thinking, F Boston forever.
  10. I honestly don’t know, but is it the city’s responsibility to replace and repair sidewalks?
  11. Did you read the article? “Ari Maron, a member of Maron family-owned MRN, said in a phone interview that the company rarely sells any of its properties. But Uptown is in such good shape, and the investment market is so strong, Maron said, that MRN agreed with Rico Pietro, a Cresco principal, that it could be an opportune time to offer it for sale.”
  12. We live in the poorest city in the country. The budget for the entire recreation department is $18mil. $10 million of that is paid in wages. The metro parks budget is ten times that.

When I attended we took design classes at the Kent State Urban Design Collaborative (part of KSU’s architecture school). It’s been a few years, but from what I remember the courses were pretty evenly split between planning/design/development. Although you would pick a focus at some point. Not everyone took all of the same classes.

The program used to be called MUPDD with one of those D’s being design. Not sure when they dropped the design.
  15. Wow that Clevelander cover is such a bummer

If he could just even approximate being normal for two seasons he would fit perfectly as a 2 on this team. I know he blew up our title squad, but he’s still maybe the most entertaining player the Cavs have ever had. He was worth the price of admission on those post Lebron teams.
  17. Yeah it’s really a pretty toothless bill. The city should see more revenue without really impacting individual projects too drastically. Some people seem to be missing the actual math but I’m not sure if it’s due to laziness or incompetence.
  18. One of Hollywood’s toppest young stars (although I preferred Goober Patrol).

  20. The main food terminal is right there. I might be out of pocket but that’s also why the main Central Market was down the street too.

Man what a mess. Kyrie really has no excuse not to be a top 5 player. I don’t know if there’s ever been a player with so much natural talent on ball.
  22. Finally! A victory for capital over labor. They were due. Glad our brave legislators had the guts to stand up to Big Employee
  23. I’m kind of surprised that apartment development hasn’t jumped the inner belt on the east side yet. Some pretty obvious vacant lots over there and such easy access to downtown/near west/university circle.
  24. Given the abysmal land use policy St. Ignatius has employed, I certainly hope the city would think twice about letting them gobble up more of the neighborhood.
  25. The row house/brick apartment building slaughter on the east side has continued unabated for 70 years.
