The Browns have the #1 rushing offense in the league and one of the best offensive lines. He’s still only completing 61% of his passes (29th in the league) and is 23rd in the league in passer rating. He’s 40 games into his career and going to be 26 already next year and due for an extension. I hope the Browns are able to be honest with themselves about what kind of player he is: a below average game manager.- Cleveland Development Map
Not sure what the new development at 41st/Lorain is called but I noticed fencing was up around the buildings that are coming down.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
The browns are literally the only team on that list that is 1-3. This site makes a composite of a number of statistical power rankings from various sites. It has the Browns ranked 18th. A below average team that’s had an easy schedule seems about right. http://powerrankingsguru.com/nfl/team-power-rankings.php- The Great USA / World Photo Thread
@mrnyc didn’t you post some pics of a trip to the Caucasus a few years ago? I find that part of the world completely fascinating. So many absolutely ancient cultures all mashed up together.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
I’m just saying the record was almost exactly the same. I said previously they should beat Jacksonville, that would get them to at least .500. Obviously that 2014 team finished with 5 straight losses. They still need to prove they’re a good team rather than like the 8th best in the AFC.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
They were in almost exactly the same spot in 2014. This definitely feels more like that than actual contention. I hope they’re actually good this time but I think it’s reasonable to wait for them to actually complete one competent season before getting excited.- Cleveland Browns Discussion
20th in point differential. I wonder if a team with negative point differential has ever been 7-3? This team still feels like fools gold to me. They’ve only beaten one team that’s not absolute garbage. I guess we’ll know where they stand after the Titans/Ravens games in a few weeks. You would hope they can take care of Jaguars this week.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Yeah it’s wild, he’s about a full year older than Sexton, who will be going into his third season. It does seem like half the mocks have Avdija going to the Bulls, half of them have him falling past 4. NBA site has a nice consensus mock that compiles the major mocks together: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nba.com/amp/league/article/2020/08/20/2020-consensus-mock-draft- Cleveland Browns Discussion
I kind of wonder if this front office thinks the Browns are built to win now? The only big pieces on the team who aren’t under 25 are Landry and OBJ. Even those two are only 27. I also wouldn’t be shocked if the coach and GM aren’t sold on Baker as the answer at QB. They may want another crack at the draft and free agency before they push their chips to the middle.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Toppin scares me. We already have the worst defense in the league and he won’t help. And he’s 2-3 years older than most of the other top prospects. I think he’ll stick in the league but I don’t see him helping the Cavs (really setting myself up to get doxxed here.) This is kind of a boring read but shows how age correlated to success in the NBA draft (tl;dr, it’s better to draft young generally). https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.libertyballers.com/platform/amp/2016/4/13/11376588/nba-draft-age-star-superstar-draft-analysis While this draft is considered lacking in top tier talent, there are stars taken in every draft, and plenty of busts at the top of “good” drafts (see 2014 draft). But there are a good number of athletic wings and front court players who should be available at 5. I’d have my eye on Isaac Okoro (wing defensive specialist with shooting concerns), Devin Vassel (supposedly a notch below Okoro on defense but a knockdown shooter at SF), Demi Avdija (Israeli playmaking wiz SF with some serious FT issues), and Onyeka Okongwu (athletic freak center who put up great stats at USC and could be a defensive anchor). I think I would be more psyched about Okongwu if we didn’t already have so much $ committed to the front court. But the Cavs have to add talent wherever they can find it so he might be my choice anyways even if he’s stuck behind Drummond and TT (assuming he re-signs) for the time being. For anybody interested who doesn’t already know it, I think this is the most interesting mock draft site. It’s probably brick siding though, no? It looks to me like they’re replacing an older, bigger brick and masonry building with a pretty generic brick siding and vinyl structure.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
They didn’t build any of those though, right? Those projects you mentioned appear to be mostly interior construction. I could be wrong. I’m only going by what I’ve seen on their website. I think it’s ok to be concerned that a firm that has mostly built gas stations and freeway motels is going to be tearing a building down and replacing it on a major thoroughfare in a rapidly developing neighborhood. 🤷♀️- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
