Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
I’m always up for millionaire bashing, but are Millennia’s properties known for being badly maintained?

Cleveland: St. Clair-Superior (non-Asiatown): Development and News
Hate to see more old commercial stock go on the east side. I guess it’s mostly hopeless that anything gets saved in that area any time soon. And I don’t really see how it’s a food desert when there’s a grocery store literally across the street.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
That’s fair, Cowboys are probably worse. But the Browns are giving up 32 points a game. That is not great.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
3-1 with a negative point differential LOL. It’s cool they actually won a few games but that might be the worst defense in the NFL.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
That stinks. Glad they’re getting a bigger space but I liked having a beer store of that quality in the neighborhood.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I think that refers to the townhomes that went up on 45/Lorain. Although all the Knez projects are so uniformly generic it’s hard to tell.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Nice to see the Browns execute on offense but the Bengals are clearly terrrrrrrible. And our defense is.....not great. They’ve given up 8 touchdowns in 2 weeks including drives of 69, 99, 69, and 75 yards.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
It’s ok to talk about our race issues, just not when actual money is involved. It wasn’t the right time with the arena, it’s not the right time now with SW, but I’m toooooooootally sure we’ll get to it somewhere down the line.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I don’t understand why the existing apartments/storefronts need to be torn down for this. Yes I know it’s not my money, etc. but just saying the apartment building is “not worthy of preservation” is baffling to me.

My friend runs land bank stuff in Trumbull county and they’ve been seeing these postcards. True scumbags

Really good stuff man! This is such a bummer! I like the philosophically loaded captions under the pictures too.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
The proximity of concentrated poverty has more to do with these types of crimes than a corner store developing active relationships with “gentlemen from the neighborhood”. If the city was going to replace every corner store owner with a more responsible one (however one would even define that or accomplish that legally) they would have to create an entire department.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I agree. Poor people shouldn’t have access to the same amenities as regular people.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Nice article! It’s always terrifying when the county is making a decision on downtown real estate. Fingers crossed it’s not another multi-million blunder that gets passed down to multiple future generations.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
It’s 3/4 of a mile to public square. It’s 6/10 of a mile to Heinen’s. It’s 3/4 of a mile to the Lumen. It’s a mile to the Warehouse district. That’s how big I think it is.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Those are nice pictures but who would use this space? I feel like Cleveland has a knack for creating green space where nobody can utilize it. There are probably 0 people that live within half a mile of that intersection.

Cleveland: Population Trends
There is a lot of migration data available. All of it seems to suggest Ohio is near the bottom of the table for domestic migration. I guess Covid could possibly change the trend but all available data pretty clearly shows people are leaving the industrial northeast and settling in the sunbelt. Same as it’s been for decades.

I wonder how many new jobs Tenant is bringing to the region?- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I think this is more like Berlin calling their soccer team the Jews- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
HHahahah what- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
You don’t even have to go that far. You could substitute Cleveland African Americans. It’s insane to have a team named after a race of people. And don’t even start with trying to suggest the name “honors” native Americans.- Cleveland Guardians Discussion

That Guardian def looks cross-eyed right?- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I like Dobys a lot. Also down with any of the previous/historical names. I think Naps, Blues, Spiders, and Forest Cities would all be great. Could also revive one of the Negro League names. Browns and Elites are two of my favs. They could also revive something from another sport like Pipers, or Barons. Just please please please nothing boring or corporate-y generic. - Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
