Cleveland Cavs Discussion
They still make me so nervous at the end of games. They didn't turn it over in the 4th tonight, and got in the bonus early. That really helped them control the game. Brown's rotations kind of make me crazy, although he kept it to just 10 players tonight.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
It would be nice if he was a little better on the corner threes. I still like him better than Clark.

^ I wish I would have said something besides "produces loose balls", but you know what I mean.

^Gee is a disaster handling the ball. He always stays active on D, tho, and seems to produce a lot of loose balls that translate to transition buckets for the Cavs.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
It's been a frustrating season so far, but also a reminder of how much chemistry matters in the NBA. It's probably going to be a couple of months of uneven basketball before we really know what we have with this team.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I'm not trying to claim Kyrie had a good game, but the Cavs are dead in the water without his shooting and the pressure he puts on defenses. He needs to improve his play if the Cavs are going to succeed, but he's still an immensely talented offensive player that draws the attention of entire defenses. He's not a liability.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Kyrie is NOT a liability on the court. He was great in the first half tonight. It's worth noting that it was the bench that nearly lost it for us this game. Kyrie and some of the other starters weren't back in until nearly five minutes left. It's easy to focus on the 4th quarter, but the Cavs were playing great defense for the first 2.8 quarters of this game. They made Rubio and Love look useless. I'm willing to give our collection of 21-year-olds more than 4 games to figure it out. God bless CJ Miles.

Moving to Cleveland... where to live???
Commutes are very easy from anywhere in Cleveland proper to the Clinic. In my opinion Tremont has the most balanced combination of safety, walkability, and desirable housing. It's a 15 minute drive/30 minute bus ride from the clinic. It's also very close to downtown and Ohio City. I think this is one of the big advantages of the near west side-proximity to other walk able and interesting areas of the city.

Metro Lofts on S. Scranton (CLE, near Metro Hospital)
That part of Tremont has a really strong block club called Metro North. You should go to one of their meetings if you're considering moving there. It's definitely trending in the right direction. One of the block club members, Eric Lutzo, has done at least a dozen renovations on and around Scranton. I wouldn't do a lot of walking around there at night, but I also wouldn't worry about too much random crime since you would have off-street parking and be in an apartment building. The apartments there are really nice.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
The structure of NBA contracts makes it more or less impossible for a player to play less than 7 years with one team (if the team wants him to). The Cavs control Kyrie's rights until 2015-16. After that he is a restricted free agent, which guarantees 2-3 more years of Kyrie. He's not going anywhere until at least the 2018 season. That's almost Bladerunner times. It's okay to be paranoid, but at least be paranoid about the proper scenarios.

I don't think Jordan and TT could have shared the court together. Both are extremely limited offensively.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
The team isn't good but there's a clear direction, and I think the Cavs are much better run than the Browns or Indians. The Cavs have 4 children in the starting lineup right now, which doesn't make for a lot of wins but makes them fun and interesting to watch.

I like it. New team names are too often boring. Panthers, Bobcats, Hornets, Jaguars, etc.

Kyrie! Wish we could have gotten a few more free throws there at the end, cuz Kobe was making me way nervous. Zeller looked good hustling against Howard. Dwight might be the 2nd least likable NBA player.

I like the trade. That's quite a haul for 1 year of Choo. Stubbs will at least give us a little depth in the OF, but obviously Bauer was the target.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
^Dion's passing ability has been completely overlooked with his shooting slump. I went to the Blazers game and he was penetrating and finding guys for open 3s every other time down the floor. He needs to stop taking stupid long 2-pointers and find a way to finish around the hoop, but I'm confident he'll figure it out. I also think he's going to be a + defender. He's so quick and strong.
