Beyond access, I don't really see any problems with Edgewater. I don't want any retail beyond ice cream there. It really is one of my favorite places in Cleveland. The fact that it is a great big open field next to the lake is it's best quality. I can think of nothing better than a summer afternoon at Edgewater with some grilling materials, a beer, and a frisbee.

I'm probably contradicting something I said earlier in this thread, but I just can't see the sense in trading down in an NBA draft. Not when one player can make so much of a difference. I have to think this is all bluffing on the Cavs' part to flummox Jordan into taking Lamb second overall or something.

My guess would be the projected cashflows from apartments and hotel units are reflected differently in the underwriting models that the lending institutions are using when analyzing the project. This would make sense considering apartment vacancies are at 4% and hotel vacancies are closer to 50%.

This point really nails it. The Indians have basically had one good 5-year run in 60 years. That might be part of the problem.

My knowledge doesn't run as deep as the second round but: 1. MKG: It would be really fun to watch him and Andy play defense at the same time. 2. Nicholson or Q Miller: Offense and upside. I'm not as convinced as others that you find much this deep in the draft, but it seems like Nicholson has a chance to provide some nice bench scoring from the 4, and Quincy Miller would be a swing for the fences.

I would say that grudges accomplish nothing and it's important to look forward and keep living in real life, but we're talking about professional sports. The lows are only as low and the highs are only as high as you want them to be. But you can't have one without the other. You enjoy the wins because you know how much the losses hurt. We basically cheer for players because of what kind of tee-shirt they wear, and professional sports are irrational at their core. Sure, I can take a balanced and fair outlook and say that LeBron is the best basketball player, but f*** that guy. If I just wanted to admire athletes for their performances I'd go and watch pole-vaulting. Go Cavs!

It would be so awesome if we went into this draft with two high lottery picks. This team is going to be really fun to watch next year regardless of what happens. I think TT is gonna make big strides and seeing how defenses adjust to Kyrie and how he counter-adjusts is going to be entertaining (I may have just jinxed Kyrie into having a torn knee).

^It seemed to me from the time they opened that the wide variety of middle-eastern/greek food on W. 25th would be an impediment to their success. W. 25th already features Maha's, Nate's, and Kan Zamaan, as well as the full-service Maha's south of Clark and another (better) Turkish restaurant in Tremont. That being said, Alaturka was definitely a step above the other places on 25th and did feature some items outside of the falafel, hummus, baba trinity. Of course I guess we also don't know for a fact that they're closing. In any event, there's a lot of Middle Eastern food to be had on the west side.

^Are you being facetious? The Cavs won the most games in the NBA for two years in a row. The difference between the '12 Miami Heat and the 09-'10 Cavs is Lebron's play in the playoffs. He's playing out of his mind right now. The notion that the Cavs weren't talented enough is revisionist history. They didn't have another transcendent talent like Dwyane Wade, but they were extremely deep. It's not a coincidence that the Cavs had their best years when Varejao stayed healthy and they had 5 (5!!!!) perimeter shooters who went for 40% from 3. They also ranked in the top 7 in offense and defense those years, topping out at the 4th highest rated offense and 3rd highest rated defense in '09. The "not enough talent" argument is so lazy. Sure, superstars win championships, but you know what else does? Winning f*ing games, and the cavs won 127 in two years.

Although glue guys like Andy who are also elite on one side of the ball (rebounding/defense) don't come around very often. I would be bummed to see him go, but he has played 25 and 31 games the last two seasons, and has only played more than half a season 3 times in 8 years.

It's hard to see anything happening on the trade front before the draft starts, since everyone will be waiting to see what everybody else does. I think I might be inclined to take that Golden State trade if it's a real offer.

Bosh's PER was 25, good for 4th in the league (James, Wade, Durant) the year before he joined the Heat. Ibaka's never going to sniff that. He's a great player, and he fits on the Thunder perfectly, but he's only a role player. Durant, Westbrook, James, Wade, and Bosh all are or are capable of being franchise cornerstones. Harden may get there some day, and Ibaka will block lots of shots and play efficient off-ball offense. But I think it's relatively clear who the best 5 players in the series are. The fact that the Thunder have Harden, Ibaka, Perkins, et al. behind Westbrook and Durant is their advantage in this series. The Heat have.....Ronnie Turiaf?
