Cleveland - Public tracks (for running) near downtown
Hi I live right downtown at 12th and chester. i am looking for a decent (and safe) track to run on. Cleveland State doesn't seem to have one. I drove by St Ignatius high school and they have a nice track but does not appear to be open to the public. Any suggestions without me having to drive to far? thanks

Cleveland: Where to get a good men's haircut?
ha ha I don't know about the Regale Beagle, I was just at their website. I can't trust a chick that has a razor on one hand and a beer in another!

Cleveland: Where to get a good men's haircut?
Well this doesn't really qualify as Restaurants or Entertainment, but I thought it was the best forum fit. Where is a good place to get a good men's haircut. I'd like to stay under $30 bucks if I can. I live downtown but will head out to the burbs for one. I am a young guy so I am usually more into a stylist that knows how to use a pair of scissors rather than a barber or chain chop shop that just uses a razor and treats your head like a piece of meat, ha ha. EDIT: Modified thread title to be more specific

Cleveland - working and living downtown
Ended up going with Reserve Square. The kitchen is brand new, new carpet, and the only place that had an actual weight room. Also had a walk in closet unlike all the lofts. You really get alot for your dollar there. Apparently the new management company has been going in and updating the units. The WT Grant lofts were pretty nice inside and had washer/dryer in the unit which is sweet. Was also a good value and across the street from the banks, but was just a little on the small side, no closet space, and too basic of a workout room. The stuff I visited in the Warehouse District was alright, but for my price range, the units were small, facing alley's, etc. These too had bad workout facilities, overpriced parking ($145 at Bridgeview), etc. I see you're just paying to live 'by the action' which is kinda dumb because I'd rather walk 5 minutes to work 6 days a week and 20+ minutes to the bars 1-2 nights a week rather than vice-versa. Thanks everyone for your input.

Update: Statler is full other than one large expensive unit. WT GRatn lofts has some availability so thanks for that tip. Perry Payne has just one unit as well and its one that is out of my price range. Still waiting to hear from teh Hat Factory.

Good stuff everyone. I have several more places to call tomorrow now. Everything can't be full by the time I get there Friday! haha

Now in those other areas you mention above. Will I have to pay for parking in my apartment? I don't want to have to pay for parking where I live and then pay again when I drive to work? Thats kind of why I was looking at living in a walkable distance from work. I'd also rather not have to wait for a buss or anything. That being said, I should just check out a brub like Lakewood for proper due dilligence. I have been told the good part of Lakewood is the western half and that the middle and east parts are a little less desireable. Also that the western part has nice bars/restaurants/stores that are walkable. If that is the case does anyone have any apartment complex ideas in that area I should check out tht are good? Remember this is just to compliment my city search so don't flame me too much for looking outside the city as well. haha.

Oh I take no offense at all. I am just passing along what I have been hearing from people in the area. I take everything people say with a grain of salt and thats why I try to get as much input from different people as possible. I had one girl tell me dont live Downtown because nowhere is safe and there are too many shootings. Maybe it's becasue I am from Detroit that I doubt it is that bad, haha. I'll take my chances, we all have to die sometime right? Thanks for all these posts keep'em coming!

I have a call into Statler and they are to call me back with an agent. I have heard about this free trolley a tad. Where can I get the specifics on what it is all about/how it operates/etc? Yeah I think the Critterden is on my hit list for when I come into town Friday. That as well as the Bingham, Waterstreet, Hat Factory, Bridgeview, National Terminal, Reserve Square, and Statler...and 4th Street if they have anything available.

Ugh. Huron/Osborn is full until Mid-October and I need a place in a couple weeks.

Yeah, I'd enjoy being by nightlife, but am not an ex-frat boy that will be out partying 5 nights a week. I like the balance of relaxing after 10+ hour days at work but being able to walk to places on the weekends. That's why I am a bit hesitant about 4th street and warehouse district. Since from what I have read it gets pretty roudy and loud that close to the bars. Maybe I am wrong? thats the the Osburn suggestion, I hadnt heard of that one yet.
