East Cleveland: Development and News
I lived on Taylor and Euclid until last September and I too had ECC as it was the only thing offered on my street. Interestingly, my mother lives up the hill, still within East Cleveland city limits and she has u-verse. Her neighbor has ECC. So there are some options up the hill but down the hill, I guess ECC just has a strangle hold. :( To the contrary, in the year that I had ECC, I never had one problem with them, at my location. I still wouldn't choose them if I had a choice though.

Moving to East Blvd. in Cleveland
Congrats! Great homes and great area. One of my favorite residential areas in the city along with the nearby Wade Park/Ashbury area. You're definately right about this opportunity not coming too often. Those homes are held onto for a long time and probably passed down for generations because they rarely seem to hit the market. Despite all the generalizations that you've heard, which is often made by people that don't know anything about the area, you're in a quiet, well kept and safe area which remains constant until 102nd. 99th for the streets between pierpont(or adams) and superior. I believe someone above me eluded to it already but even the nearby 105 area isn't as bad as made out to be. There are many well kept streets their also with good neighbors as well, that just get overshadowed by a few bad apples. Great investment, in my opinion. The value of your area is only going to go further up as the University Circle/Wade Park areas continues to build on their strong foundations and inevitably more commercial development should creep further north. Enjoy!

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I live in E.C. and you can't park on my street after 3 a.m. E.C. varies depending on your street. Just like in Cleveland, all night parking is usually in multi-family neighborhoods. Single family neighborhoods usually have the ban after their select time. (2 in those parts of Cleveland. 3 in those parts of E.C.) As for the other burbs, most of there ban's start at either 2 or 3. I think there's one suburb where it doesn't start till 4. I believe its Garfield but not sure. On another note, I believe Solon has a very early ban. I believe you can't park after 1 a.m.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Actually..... that's really the only time I've ever seen them. Lol. In the middle of the night when there is no traffic out. I rarely see them in the day and I really only see them in Cleveland. I can't remember ever seeing one in the burbs.

Cleveland: Streets in the City that are NOT part of CMSD
The majority of the Buckeye/Shaker neighborhood is included in the Shaker Heights School District. That includes the Larchmere Area, Shaker Blvd, Buckeye, Moreland, etc. That, I know for a fact. But one other area in the city that I believe is part of another school district but am not 100% sure on, is the in the North Collinwood area. The area around 185th to 200th (on Cleveland's side of the border), I BELIEVE is included in the Euclid School system. Maybe someone else here knows.

Cleveland: Best Kept Secrets!
I was talking about all the homes in the 105 area, but yes, East blvd is beautiful too(especially the homes between Superior and St. Clair). I wasn't necessarily talking about at East blvd and Wade Park, but as far as Wade Park, there are some nice houses from 105 going towards Case. I'm not sure what bridge you're talking about but the only one that comes to mind is the Sidaway bridge off Kinsman. My great aunt lives on Berwick in seeing distance of it and I've heard stories about of how it was "back in the days." Lol

Cleveland: Best Kept Secrets!
You havent said anything I have said for years here. Most the crime is above 110 street. The triangle is very safe. I think the entire state of the eastside(cleveland proper) is blown out of proportion. While there are some problem areas, there are still some nice, liveable areas. But, I think people jump to conclusions so easily based off isolated incidents they read about, and bad-mouth areas that they have never (and aren't willing) to spend any time or even just take a drive through. And this also contributes to the overall negative outlook on the area, with so many people discouraging others from the city. And then people turn around and wonder why the population is dropping so much.

Cleveland: Best Kept Secrets!
Some more secrets I would say... The overall climate of North Collinwood. Its actually a very decent neighborhood despite the bad rap it gets. South Collinwood is a different story, but its on its way up though. The nice and huge houses in the Glenville area, specifically off 105th. Also, the fact that, physically Glenville just may have the most potential of any neighborhood in the city of Cleveland, (Yeah, I said it) if the crime can ever be curbed. The breathtaking homes in the Wade Park-Ashbury district.

Cleveland: Best Kept Secrets!
The view near luke easter park you're talking about is at 93rd and Kinsman as you're heading down the bridge. This just might be my favorite view of the skyline in the whole city. I also agree with you on Larchmere. Its gives a great view of the top of the skyline. I also like the view at Buckeye and Woodhill.

CLEVELAND - Welcome to Collinwood, Bratenahl and Detroit-Shoreway
Nice. I always liked the North Collinwood area. The homes and the area is still very much intact. I wouldn't mind living in the neighborhood when I come back to Cleveland after school.

Best places to get hood and decay shots in Cleveland
If industrial shots are what you're looking for, then I would definately agree with X on the Cedar area. The area he is mentioning is around 65th and Cedar. Also you would probably like to check out Independence Rd, 55th between Woodland and Bessemer, and the Broadway/Rockerfeller area. You would definately get some good shots from the bridge on Broadway. Also, even though it's not an industrial area, East 71st and Central ave would give you some perfect shots. There is an old factory right on the corner that would really capture that industrial feel you're looking for. I don't know if you would go to the area just for one building, but TRUST ME, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Best places to get hood and decay shots in Cleveland
Well, when money is scarce it's going to be scarce all day, so going in the afternoon when there are more people out and about is the best idea. In the early morning or night, there are less people(witnesses) out, which is why chances of crime or going to be higher.

Best places to get hood and decay shots in Cleveland
East: Kinsman: From 55th to 93rd(Arguably the most decayed area in the city) Lexington: 66th- The area around league park and various parts of nearby Hough St Clair: 71st-140ish Much of the Fairfax area. Specifically: Quincy-71st-105th(If you can get around all the construction going on) Central-71st-80s Cedar-55th-79th East Cleveland: Hayden ave Shaw ave Superior-Hayden area West: Storer Various parts of Clark, and Detroit As others said, don't go alone or in the later part of the day(or the earlier morning for that matter). Go at the peak of the afternoon. Keep in mind that you'll most likely look suspicious. Most of these neighborhoods are predominantly black, where even myself(being black) would look suspicious walking around taking pictures. With all that said, be safe and good luck on the shoot.

Where do you live in Cleveland / Cuyahoga County?
Originally from the Lee-Miles area and currently living in Bedford Heights. Also lived in Buckeye-Shaker and Warrensville Heights briefly.
