^ We have them in Chicago... they actually aren't that bad. Again, they only run during rush hours.

When I read the title I had to make sure it wasn't April fools day or something.... But yes, I would prefer this to a bunch of sprawled out single family homes.

Oh.... my..... Goodness! I will never be able to take I-71 up to Columbus again for fear of being attacked by that statue.

^ I'm surprised you hate LaGuardia that much. I've only flown in/out once, but I didn't think it was really that bad...- Cincinnati: The Mill Creek
I told you about the time the creek flooded and covered those garden plots in Wyoming, right? When it receded, you wouldn't believe the crap and muck it left behind...- Off Topic
I spent my first amount of time in Lambert Intl this weekend' date=' and I decided it was the worst I had been in so far. The construction doesn't help either, but it was [i']awful[/i]. Now that I'm starting my new job (tomorrow morning... I'd better get to bed!) I'll be flying someone pretty much every week, so I'll get to check out some others and probably see some that are even worse...- urbanohio.com business cards

- Where you went to school, what do you do?
I went to the one and only Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in beautiful Terre Haute, IN, where I graduated with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics with a minor in Political Science. Monday I start my new job here in Chicago doing computer security consulting.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Good news... now just get some money for the big tower!- Off Topic
Let's see, if I walk a half mile or less, there are at least 5 sushi places, 3 hot dog places, a couple french places, a few thai places, a vietnamese place, a bunch of mexican burrito places, some american places, some chinese, and, of course, a McDonald's. I'm heading out to the shore for a vacation with the family tomorrow, though, so I'm away from Chicago (and the computer) for the next week.- Metro Columbus: Road & Highway News
I would say that the Brent Spence rebuild should be the #1 priority in the state, but perhaps I am just a bit biased. It just seems to have such an importance nationally with the vast amount of truck traffic. As for other I75 rebuilds, I think they are important, but can wait. Those left hand exits (Hopple street off of Northbound, for example) can cause traffic problems and it would be great if they could be dealt with. The repaving of a couple of years ago through downtown did wonders, however... I remember the tire ruts that had dug so deeply in there that you could practicly drive without touching the steering wheel.- Off Topic
I'm am here enjoying Chicago, but I do miss my Skyline Chili... oh, well, I'll just go get some pizza instead :)- Cincinnati and the smoking ban
I don't really like being around a lot of smoke usually, so I like the bans in restaurants and such. In bars and nightclubs, however, it is expected to be around a lot of smoke, so I am used to it. After all, you go to a bar to be happy and have a good time (usually), so I don't have a problem with people wanting to smoke in bars.- Cincinnati: Walnut Hills

- Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
Anybody who's been on this forum or SSP for very long at all has heard me gripe about wanting more foot patrols in high crime areas. Well, ask and ye shall recieve.... Wednesday, May 19, 2004 More police hitting streets -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Violence prompts shift from schools By Jane Prendergast The Cincinnati Enquirer OVER-THE-RHINE - Cincinnati police officers working in schools will be reassigned for the summer to walk beats here and downtown. Two men were shot to death in Over-the-Rhine within six hours Monday, bringing the city's homicide total to 29 - the same as this time in 2003, a year that ended with 75 killings, a 26-year high. Those deaths followed the killing downtown Thursday of a pizza cook - an apparent random attack a block from the main library.- Chillicothe / Ross County: Developments and News

Here's the question - if Delta had to cut back its operations at CVG, would some other carrier recognize the market and swoop in to give us another option?- City Nicknames

^ No, Dr. Ventker. He's retiring soon, he's getting up there a bit. They may be in the same building, it's a little ugly brown building across from the Kwik & Kold exit.- Cincinnati: Random Development and News
^ So that's what that building is. The last time I was home, I had to go to my dentist, who is just up Compton there. I drove past that and was wondering what it was. Did they ever find a stable tenant in that plaza next door since the video store left? - Off Topic
