A few pics from Goodyear Heights: That building again-

East Akron is technically a separate neighborhood. Information on Middlebury can be found here: http://ci.akron.oh.us/planning/cp/neighborhoods/Middlebury.pdf Middlebury is the area where Akron was founded. In the Case street/ Arlington/Exchange area. I had a girlfriend who lived in the area, on Bank st. So called because it was next to the bank of the Little Cuyagoga river, which runs through the neighborhood. I remember the river smelled like chemicals back then.

This building was a meeting place for cubscouts back in the 1970s. It had a large hall and a kitchen. Probably dates back to the 1920s or earlier.
