US Economy: News & Discussion
The sooner this mess with the student loan forgiveness is settled and the sooner the loan forbearance is lifted, then the sooner the inflation will subside. The amount of expendable cash in the economy is artificially high due to the forbearance of the loans. Market demand will decrease when the student loan payments restart. I think there is a decent chance we have a soft landing.

Housing Market & Trends
The high interest rates are causing more people to rent versus buy. There is already a shortage of residential units. A price control on rent would decrease construction of new rentals. We need more product on the market to lower costs...not rent control. This would be really bad for Cleveland!

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
A holder of a ROFR or an option to purchase should have their rights/options recorded to protect their interests by providing record notice to anybody interested in purchasing the property. So, if I was representing the lessee, I would insist that the ROFR language was recorded as part of the memo of lease or via an affidavit.

I wonder if this project's close proximity to the new SW site had a negative effect. Perhaps the committee thinks this project doesn't need the credits considering the investments occurring right down the street with SW and the Rockefeller. Just a thought.

Headquarters for Rocket Mortgage and a new courthouse tower would put this in front of the other projects....imo If the courthouse tower can be made part of this project, it could also help with securing infrastructure improvements by having the county involved.

Chicago is actually more on the west side of Lake Michigan. So, the majority of the winds are not coming off the lake unlike on the east side of Cleveland- Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
