  1. The hotel is going up now.
  2. Some different angles...
  3. Got some new pictures today.
  4. Hey guys, thanks for the comments. The core is moving about a floor a week. So with being on 16 yesterday, the core should be topped out in about six weeks. Structural steel is two floors below so probably 8 weeks with good weather and no rain. The hotel construction has not even started yet other than the stairway core to the south of the project. What you were seeing was the parking garage and the retail area between the hotel and the tower which is the first three stories of the project. I will try to get more photos as we go up. I am getting bounced around right now on numerous jobs around the city.
  5. No, we finished floor 16/22 today. Pour tomorrow, form lift on Friday.
  6. Hey guys, I am an Ironworker down at the Flats and thought I would post some pictures from the top of the core for you.
  7. Two assembly lines, Everett, Washington and Charleston, SC

What I find funny about this whole situation is that "Joe the plumber" is upset for the fact that he will be taxed more for being in the $250,000 a year range. So based on this, his decision moves him for a vote for John McCain. This is the same man who just last week announced the establishment of a "right to work" bill for the entire country, which will put a strangle hold on almost all building trades which I'm sure "Joe" is part of. So, his $250,000 won't be taxed but after four years, he'll have more competition than he can handle and won't even come close to making $250,000 a year. So, Joe needs to keep up to date with the other thing McCain is saying before he makes a judgement on who to vote for. Trades for Obama
