  1. This conversation is sooooo deja vu. Strasburg is pitching tonight (how the f does a guy with a 2.5 era have a 5-8 record) against the Tigers, so 1.5 back by Wednesday is doable!
  2. .5 behind Baltimore too
  3. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  4. And Cleveland Scene says he instigated a bar fight at 2:30am in Paninis and was on the losing end. I'd link to the site but THIS COMPUTER IS FROM THE CRETACEOUS PERIOD
  5. I am DRAINED!
  6. Crap. I'm not happy about the stop moving to the transit center. A 20-something minute walk to the rapid, especially with luggage, is going to be a pain, especially after a 7-hour overnighter. Waiting outside wasn't all that pleasant in the cold, but being a hop and skip away from Tower City was a HUGE plus.

The Hard Way and Sometimes a Great Notion. I could watch those everyday.

    Hah!
  9. Bleh, keep Megabus on W3. I, along with other passengers, usually drink at Nautical Mermaid while waiting for the 1am bus. Are there any pubs open late by the transit center anyhow? And I usually train to Green Rd when I arrive, then get a lift to my parent's home. What a pain to walk to Tower City with my luggage if the stop moves.
  10. An emotionally exhausting half. Hell of a time!
  11. God I hated working in that building. World's worst law firm (I'll be polite and not mention those lemony bastards) operates(d?) there.

The term faghag. Hate it hate it hate it, even if it's meant to be endearing
  13. Oh we absolutely have a top line up. We've got 4 legit speedsters, 5 guys who can hit 20+ homers, and the best defensive outfield in the majors. Strikeouts are frustrating but probably an overblown stat. The starting pitching is an unbelievable mess, and I am baffled why retained that head case Ubaldo for another couple years. Carrasco has never been good, Mcallister finished weak as hell, Masterson is absolutely unproven and overrated, and Dice K has been crap all but his first few years. So we have more work to do, but never has crow tasted down good!
  14. holy $hit. We actually have, at least on paper, one of the best lineups in baseball: Our line up should be: Bourn Kipnis Asdrubal Swisher Santana Brantley Reynolds Chizennal Stubbs. Good god!!
  15. JASON GIAMBI??? Well, it's certainly been a unique off-season
  16. So long Bally Total Fitness on Chagrin:-( A big part of my and my dad's life is taking a powder soon. The Bally at Severance is reopening apparently.
  17. During the riots the Italians were armed with various weapons, and the rioters knew to stay clear. It's the only in tact, truly safe neighborhood in the city because that perception lasts, even as the area is far more diverse with non-Italians. And perhaps there's something to be said about crime syndicates being the lesser of two evils compared to today's vaguely more chaotic bangers. Look at what happened in North Collinwood before and after Greene was there.

I don't think buying someone's drink qualifies that person as a hipster. Frankly I would be more concerned with your unwarranted fury at the situation
  19. Why won't these tears stop

Cigars that are dried out. That $hit isn't cheap!

Do hipsters consider the term to be pejorative? Frankly I like hipsters. Between them and the gays, a lot of rough neighborhoods are evolving into something more attractive and safe. I'll take skinny jeans over saggy pants and man-scarves over due-rags any day of the week
  22. About as strict as DC and New York, and they have far fewer gun deaths (at least per capita)

Blaming/chastising Gilbert for the lack of spin off development by Public Square is like blaming Cosgrove for the lack of retail development by the Clinic or blamimg the Gunds and Jacobs for the Gateway District being pretty dull. Frankly, I think there is far less a correlation between jobs/major projects and spin off development than we'd like to think. Otherwise, we'd have the Magnificent Mile on Euclid by the hospitals.

If the westside mirrors the eastside's populations losses, I'm guessing the numbers will be significantly worse.
  25. So Chris Perez, of all people, apparently helped recruit Swisher. Between that and the remarkable offseason acquisitions by the Dolans, Shapiro, and Antonetti, I don't know who to dislike anymore.
