Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I would hope Bibb, Ronayne, and DeWine have had multiple conversations and are on the same page. Absolutely no funding from city, county, and state barring an enormous profit-sharing arrangement. And that should apply to all costs related to the stadium build, including highway and utilities. Every dollar we invest, three return to our coffers. Otherwise, let Jimmy build it himself or move them to San Antonio or London and let's be DONE with this s**t.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Criminals are bashing cars to terrorize people and, maybe, steal a radio or package incidentally. Doesn't matter if you lock doors or not, the animals are out to harm you, not help themselves.

I'm sure they don't - of course, it's not like I'm doing backflips before/during work every day either; a job is just a job - but that is interesting footage. I've always wondered how trash talking works in the NFL (and NHL). Can they even hear and articulate from their helmets and crowd noise? Guess so.

I don't think anyone would object to either. There's probably a demand for both, and it's always nice filling up vacancies.

Not to pile on, but anyone implying a legal dispensary is some kind of drug den or nuisance property clearly is unfamiliar with them. Well behaved people inside and outside.

If I were getting $3.5 million to kiss the ring, I'd be keeping in the rapist too. Plus there's always the hope for injury. Ten more games and big Kev can go somewhere with fewer criminals.

so she took a shortcut down the alley, a side street, or sat in a near empty train car at night and was sexually assaulted. It sucks she was raped, but this is "things not to do in any city in the world 101" stuff.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Enjoy raising several billion dollars in bonds, Brookpark. I don't see DeWine or Cuyahoga wasting limited funds on a suburb project, even if the team weren't on pace to be 3-14.

Wow... wasn't expecting this news. That's a solid win.

Cleveland: Retail News
A few thoughts: It cost $10 million to repurpose the bank into a Heinen's. No idea how that was financed, but that's a big bill for only 27,000 square feet. COVID closures and the looting were quite costly. Related, the subsequent hybrid/remote culture has likely limited necessary walk-ins. Who goes there for lunch these days? CSU students? Retirees? The ghosts of National City and Eton can't help. The lack of parking has always been a serious issue. The store layout may not be conducive to maximizing sales Near its opening, Jeff leveled expectations with profit and emphasized investing in the city was the priority. Well, that sounds nice, but it isn't particularly sustainable longterm. Urban grocery stores are somewhat experimental in some regions and require cities and their populations to be good partners. If a Heinen's invests in the city, then the city and people have, in this case, 15 years to reciprocate before the lease expires: Higher priced goods could reflect it hasn't happened. Perhaps the store is a loss leader to promote the larger suburban ones and its brand. Heinen's is expensive in general, and operating a business downtown is surely more expensive than in University Heights or Highland. Prices absorb costs.

Why Americans Are Fat
Wow, well, good for him. I don't believe obesity is a legally protected class, but that battle was premature.
-
Why Americans Are Fat
Was that a thing? I can't believe it.
-
Why Americans Are Fat
I dunno. I suspect obesity is primarily related to FDA corruption, household income and demographics, not Lane Bryant, though being proud of being fat isn't helping. Folks, not everybody is beautiful.

Why Americans Are Fat
Childhood obesity is an epidemic while childhood anorexia and malnourishment are considered abuse. Obesity should be given the same consideration, with kids taken out of these households just as they would if starved. Ideally. Should parents who can't parent continue to parent? Probably not.

Those felt more Russian than Republican with some of that syntax. But who knows, there isn't a large difference these days.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Would foot traffic even be noticeably different? The company is only moving a few blocks. Maybe warehouse district and East 4th restaurants and retail shops(?) could coordinate a discount program for downtown workers, say 11-3 and 5-7. Show your badge, save 20%.

Let's keep him as injury free as possible. The season is lost anyway; no sense wasting his health when he wouldn't even be ready for another month. He only started doing drills 5 days ago.
