  1. It looks like the Peter Lewis building is having sex with itself - yeah my mind went there. Great shots, especially the Case stuff
  2. This article was a pleasant surprise

If you're in shape, you can meet some really nice people at the gym. Not muscleheads or obnoxious flirters, I'm talking about decent guys.
  4. Just had a 3 hour meal at Balaton in Shaker Square. It's a Hungarian place, very ethnic in that everyone there, including a number of the patrons, were clearly 1st generation Hungarian. The food was just incredible. The service was great. The owner was a real nice - kind of a tough guy too, you can tell. I'll be back there next weekend to try the wine. Nice little joint they've got.

General Hospital has also been very good lately. The major storyline involves a young man (was 17 at the time) coming to terms with being raped in prison by some scumbag (who was hired by James Franco to do the act, no joke). This young actor is just incredible - he's bound to win some Daytime Emmy and Soap awards. I never understood the stigma of soap actors. What they do compared to nighttime drama actors is just incredible
  6. Not a fan of Huff, but it's always good to read something nice about our city

Most girls, straight or gay, don't like seeing two guys getting it on. Gay men are the vast, predominant market for gay porn.
  8. The Nook first generation is comparable to a Kindle. The second generation is a cheaper version of the iPad.
  9. Vine and Bean on Larchmere (shaker square'ish) was awesome last night. Great food and drink (though a tad pricy) and I loved the ambiance.

Holy mother of god. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/First-Captain-America-Poster-Goes-Gritty-And-Dark-22998.html I would have written the word "Marvel" instead of "Avenge" but whatever, that is a badass poster
  11. God, don't even joke about it. I usually, not so much since the winter began, go there on Sundays for salsa. Hope everything about it stays the same beyond the name.
  12. Someone at Forbes magazine just jumped out a window. Maybe it was Forbes. Edit: What, Brazil got a mention for their BRT line but no Cleveland reference?
  13. The Borders in Beachwood is a complete disgrace, with half the store empty, books cluttered everywhere, nary an employee to be found for help. It might get some business due to the nearby Beachwood Place, Sushi Rock, and overall affluent community, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it get the ax. I mean, if they can't take pride in their work, then what hope is there really for that branch. The Solon, Westlake, and Strongsville ones seem more professional: the staff, book selections, overall cleanness. Cleveland Heights was interesting due to the occasional riffraff asking for money at the coffee area, not to mention how unpleasant Severance is in general, but its proximity to Case should have brought in more business. Edit: God I hope the Nook is helping Barnes & Noble enough so that we can get a branch by Case. That would be...tremendous.

Kasich shouldn't worry about people with chips on their shoulder, looking to be victimized for ill perceived and never ending notions of racism at every corner and with every issue. How many Jews are on his cabinet? Hispanics? Indians? The guy explained his comments, which of course the race baiters ignored while hiding within their irrationalities so that Kasich has a no win situation for him. He stays the course and moves on, he's the bad guy; he hires someone black, and it's an empty, token gesture - at least that's the lose-lose impression race baiters are gleefully taking in. Never mind the fact that he did ask two African Americans to join his staff, sure, let's just ignore that little fact. And never mind that WHO CARES! This never ending cycle of race, race, race, wah wah wah. It adds NOTHING except for distractions for a guy trying to bring his state out of its insane debt.

I get how Reynolds seems to match the Deadpool character (looks, personality, humor, physique), but you can make a great movie without him. Deadpool's face and body are massively scarred from Deadpool's mutated cancer and the guy wears a full body costume and mask. You probably wouldn't ever see Reynolds for more than a few minutes even if we were to take the role - hell, in that Wolverine film, he was actually recast within the movie with another actor. Say what? The two didn't even look remotely like each other, even with that other guy's makeup taken into consideration. I would have been fine with him in a Deadpool movie 5 years ago, but I don't see it happening now. DC has finally developed a major comic book film, Green Lantern, that is thankfully not yet another Batman and Superman re imagining or non-mainstream comic series (300, V is for Vendetta, Watchmen, etc). I would say that DC should stick with Reynolds for however long the series will last (2 or 3 movies) so we can get the inevitable Justice League movie. I'd imagine DC would want Reynolds to ignore other superhero projects and just focus on GL, just like Downey is the face of Iron Man right now. You'd lose that special recognition if Downey were cast as someone like Plastic Man or Aquaman. And did anyone else find the GL preview practically unwatchable and overly green screened. Blake Lively has maybe 4 or 5 words in two scenes, and they are shockingly, THE ONION, levels of bad. I'm not sure if Reynolds, or the character Hal Jordan, work all that much either. But it's better than nothing.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if Frank wasnt even aware we were in contention
  21. Why the heck is there even a video? It's a pretty simple, uncomplicated issue. You break the law, you get warned. You break it twice, you get fined. You don't pay it, you go to Cuyahoga County’s Juvenile Diversion Program and perform community service. You don't complete the program, you get prosecuted. It's a pretty easy 4 steps.
  22. Okay RTA! It's nice to see people breaking the law actually have to pay the piper. http://www.riderta.com/juvenilefare/ Juvenile Violation Fare Program As of February 1, 2011, juveniles (age 17 and under) who do not pay their fare on the Red Line or the HealthLine will be subject to fines. Fare enforcement officers on these two proof-of-payment systems: the Red Line and the HealthLine; will patrol the system as usual and will hold juveniles responsible for their actions on RTA.
