  1. A good website isn't remotely frivolous, especially if you're trying to attract investors globally

KJP, you are definitely making the right choice here. I have noticed that a surprising number of (single) women in the US, or maybe it's just localized to the Midwest, often have a chip on their shoulder. Of course this doesn't apply to all single women, perhaps not even a majority of them, but there is a kind of anger or suspicion towards men that my Midwesterner male friends and I have noticed and talked about. Come to think of it, I think this is actually a Midwesterner issue - I'd love to see a sociologist do a study and explore if it's a real problem, if it's regional, the root causes, yadda yadda. Regardless, I think it's awesome that you've taking these steps and who knows, maybe these kinds of relationships will start becoming trendy and popular.

Eddie Murphy in Ghostbusters, Chevy in Animal House, Travolta in a number of Richard Gere hits in the 1980s, Will Smith as Neo, David Schwimmer in Men in Black, Nicolas Cage as Superman.....the list is endless Also, the Axel Foley character was dramatically rewritten after Sly dropped out. It wouldn't have been the same movie remotely

I see facebook as evolving into a mobile-webcam-real time system where you can see what everyone on your friends list is doing. Maybe some kind of double camera sunglasses hardware let's everyone see what you're doing. I've seen some prototypes online of glasses that show tv -this would be an extension

Good call on Paths of Glory, haven't seen the other film.
  10. In a nutshell, 1. Companies playing musical chairs is not conducive to growth immediately unless they need to expand and their present building cannot handle it. 2. However, companies might leave the area all together if not for the East Bank project. Who knows what would have happened with Eaton if not for the project's delays. 3. The Flats East Bank is visually a complete embarrassment and something needs to be there. City pride and morale have to count for something sometimes. 4. More A class work space is now available downtown, which is desirable for other companies thinking of moving down to the city. You play with the cards you get.

I didn't mind the basic premise of Hitchcock (Superman's a jerk) but did ANYBODY actually get into the whole Charlize-Theron-Will Smith-gods/angels/aliens-who cares-storyline. A complete macguffin.

Leo is kind of like the anti Will Smith. He tends to be the weak link in very good movies, whereas Will Smith is extremely watchable in extremely unwatchable crap.

For personal entertainment value, Ghostbusters (will never be topped) BrainDead/Dead Alive (early Peter Jackson gore comedy) The Hard Way (James Woods and Michael J Fox buddy-buddy cop comedy) Under Siege (with a pre-bloated Seagal!) The Room ("annnything foh mah prinnncesss")

Hey KJP, I know and often hang out with quite a few Russians/Ukranians/Belarussians around town. When you guys get settled, send me a pm and we'll figure something out. It might ease the move for your wife if she can meet some of her community here

Kasich's unpopularity probably stems from his being so negative immediately. Focusing on cutting spending might have a certain appeal for voters, but it also has a very negative connotation. Our immediate lives won't improve due to these cuts (3C, union stuff). they may or may not be necessary, but addition by subtraction isn't as in-your-face as just addition. $8 billion in debt just doesn't real whereas a trainline and public union saleries are more tacitile.

Ever been to the Ukraine Museum in Tremont? It's very cozy, a great place to kill an hour while you're out on a date. Neat story too

First black AL player as well! As to the question at hand, Cleveland strikes me as being more 'handout' liberal as opposed to personal liberties/other liberal ideologies.
  23. That was an interesting Times piece. If anything, I'd say the article could have been a lot harder about our catostrophic Democratic corruption, and that the DNC might not want to associate itself with that poison with the convention.
  24. House of Cues had pretty good food - I think I had some Mexican dishes last time I was there - but the restaurant always seemed kind of empty.
