  1. https://www.cleveland.com/community/2020/05/will-richmond-town-square-reopen-building-commissioner-says-malls-reopening-is-in-owners-hands.html What an absolute mess.
  2. That is awesome news. Nothing wrong with the ohio city place, but cigar lounges need more love.
  3. Basically any commercial building over X stories is going to see a new WFH culture simply due to elevator issues. Can you imagine how long the waits will be if everyone has to have their temperature taken to enter, plus reduced maximum occupancies, and overall apprehensions of the enclosed space. There will/would probably have to be elevator shifts in the larger buildings i.e. you're allowed to go upstairs from 7:30-8 and downstairs from 5-5:30, or otherwise need manager approval. Those wasted minutes will add up quickly.
  4. Hell, didn't they bulldoze some homes along Richmond to expand the Beachwood Place parking lot for those restaurants that never arrived. About as mindboggling as the Old vs New Brainard road nonsense.

Dead to Me season 2 hasn't missed a beat. Extras is just hilarious too, especially when Gervais and Jensen legit break character and laugh. It's a little like Party Down surprisingly, I gave up on Into the Night (booooooooooooooooooooring). I think I'll give Dark another chance soon. Start from the beginning, subtitles this time.
  6. So how is everyone doing this year. Excluding 401k which I don't bother tracking, I'm down 3.5 percent.
  7. The Arcade?
  8. That's too bad. My parents and I have been going there for years, and while they've been skimping on the onion rings for some time now, I have had many happy memories there. The happy hour wasn't too shabby either.
  9. I don't think it's liberals buying those properties but rather out-of-town investors. Someday the city will have to mirror some of Vancouver's rules i.e. vacancy and foreign-buyer's taxes.

The Martian marine really stand outs. There's your live-action She-Hulk lead if Marvel ever makes the movie. I've also had Cheers in the background (Jesus wept, I'm on season 10). It's the perfect brown noise tv show., and Norm/Woody/Carla are pretty funny. But my GOD is Kirstie Alley unbearable. The character, the actress, her voice - she's just painful.

Just finished episode 10 season 3 of the Expanse. Holy sh*t why aren't more people talking about this show.
  12. I doubt it. Cities/metro regions aren't prospering or struggling due to inconsistent population measuring metrics but rather a whole slew of other reasons of which we're all aware. I doubt educated investors would pump more money into a region simply because it artificially expanded its boundaries. Same with new residents. They're not moving to "city" because it's now named "metro". The challenges still remain unchanged.
  13. A few more commercial-to-residential conversions Far, far far more longterm vacant storefronts and commercial units. Etc, etc. The economic catastrophe will have a hell of a greater impact than some nominal WFH changes.

On episode 5 of The Expanse. Oh yeah, this show is cool.
  15. "detrimental impact on their property values." Who are these idiots?

I should have written this in my Ozark post earlier. The kid who plays Wyatt is phenomenal. If there were to be a spin-off, he'd be a logical choice to lead. Plus it's not like he did all that much this season (though he was fantastic in the scaled down role). Season 4 would survive without him.

Eight episodes in. While I don't remember season 2 that well, I can't believe it was as interesting and watchable as season 3. Laura Linney, the attorney, Ruth, and Ben steal the show. In particular Ben's introduction was epic.
  18. Amazon and Netflix are on TEARS during this crisis. Meanwhile Disney has dropped significantly since they don't really make a whole lot with their Hulu/Disney+ services. Roku at a near all time high too.
  19. I have to say I miss the comments sections too. The site is just boring now.

Two quick observations. Ozark: The recap really made me aware I've forgotten more than I remember of seasons one and two. Also, holy cow those two boys grew up in between seasons. Westworld: McBoyle as one of the protagonists? Sounds good to me. Also, Green Room was okay, watchable, but definitely a bit overrated considering all of those hyper positive reviews.

    You've convinced me on Ozark.

I almost threw my computer against the wall after finishing Altered Carbon yesterday. Poor Anthony Mackie - he deserves a lot more than that sh*t. He's Falcon and Captain America for god's sake! But then I started Westworld and my mood resolved. So far so good! And when I finish that, it's time to FINALLY start the Wire. I've given up on so many Netflix series during this quarantine: Stranger Things, Ozark, Sex Education, Kim's Convenience Store... I think there's something wrong with my brain. I always seem to enjoy the first seasons but then get bored with them. Frankly the only Netflix series I'm really excited about is F is for Family season 4. And I'm just dreading season 2 of House on Haunted Hill... but I'll give it a shot. Btw, the final episode of season 1 was the sh*tttttttts.

Altered Carbon Season 2 is booooooooooooooooring.
  24. Force majeure. They'll be back.
  25. Obviously I don't know your specific situation, but there are going to be a lot of people looking to rent properties in the near future, as so many small businesses will be unable to reopen and large scale businesses will downsize. You may be better off looking at a home equity loan if you need cash as opposed to waiting out this... uncertainty.
