  1. There are going to be a lot of desperate people looking to sell their homes ASAP, meaning prices will plummet like never before. 30 percent unemployment, growing debts and credit market nightmares = a lot of people will be unable to afford their homes and will need cash immediately, even at a fraction of the appraised value. Investors are going to make a fortune. As for the commercial markets, stay far, far, far away.
  2. I don't know about all of that, but anytime I see a big happy isolated family like the one in the video, you know it's a horror show behind closed doors. I mean, it looks like the father is about to f-uck his daughter in the opening scenes of "Why We Share a Bed" video.
  3. Well, it's up 11 percent today. Hope you bought some!

At least the players are getting paid in full for 2020. The same can't be said for the other sports.
  5. Is that why Ballpark village is so successful? I was there a few years ago right before the hotel opened. It wasn't my cup of tea - the Landing is more my scene - but I will say it was completely packed, and people were probably having more fun there than at the game itself. Almost like a reverse Wrigley.
  6. I'm fairly ambivalent about my own investments, which of course have taken a tremendous dive as has everybody's. But this will pass, and things will eventually stabilize. But I am very nervous about my parents. They're 80 and 79, on fixed income, and live and die by the markets. That has definitely been preoccupying my worries lately.
  7. There still isn't much to see and do in Fairfax, despite so many decades of the Cleveland Clinic and UH building. Hospitals just aren't economic incubators (or whatever the word is) for ancillary businesses, rising property taxes, booting out elderly, raping cultures, etc.
  8. Empty lots sure as hell don't do jack for a community; $300,000+ dollar houses do. God forbid we provide a minor tax savings on developers and residents taking a large risk.
  9. Those hypocrites should take a nice long stroll throughout Fairfax to assuage their fears. No one is being out priced out of Cedar or Quincy despite the Cleveland Clinic's enormous presence. Metro's expansion isn't displacing anyone.
  10. I bought in early Feb. Looks like I will eat this one. Appreciate the response Believe.
  11. I talked to a customer service who said I wasn't eligible. I had already checked the website but will try again. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong page. By chance could you send the url? Thanks!
  12. America Airlines will not let me change or refund my 3/30 Cleveland-Chicago ticket since it was purchased non-refundable. Maybe I can work with my credit card company.
  13. Well, it has directly prevented mass terrorist attacks on the Terminal Tower and BP building, so you can't say the barriers are ineffective.

Ironically fares have been significantly more pricey than years past. Overall they're still better than nightmare cabs, but the differences are thinning a bit.
  15. Like an oncologist complaining that cancer has been cured. Those whiners have no credibility.
  16. I doubt those cities have a mayor who says nonsense like "I believe in taking care of your own" as well. Not exactly the most welcoming language.
  17. Post markets look decent too.
  18. Frank/whoever in county will be lucky if the state even replies to this absurd request with an emoticon with rolling eyes. If Larry and his 600 million dollar net worth need assistance for rebuilding a perfectly fine park, then he should give equity to the city/county. No more of this abstract ancillary benefit bullsh*t but actual ownership in the Indians.
  19. Yeah, Quinn was definitely dressing down the trolls and their enablers, and it was long past time to shut down the comments. Too many of these right wing comments were on par with the same kind of rhetoric, tone, and gleeful irrationalities you'd find from Holocaust revisionists - there's no reason to give those types a platform.
  20. All I know is the Saudis sure love Tyson Fury, and at 2 million estimated buys, so do a lot of other people.
  21. I think everyone on this board would love retail in Tower City, the Galleria, Euclid, Superior, etc. An outlet mall doesn't preclude that; it's a completely different beast that's geared to different demographics and regions. And the lack of downtown retail isn't due to a perceived threat of a, frankly, poorly accessible outlet mall site. It's probably related more to Tower City's failure and unique stigmas/perceptions than anything.
  22. That's what you're taking away from this conversation? The city has been paying this guy and his family's bills for generations now, and in response he's creating obstacles to revenue generation. Calling out disgusting behavior is not disgusting.
  23. Nepotism gone wild (his whole damn family is/was on the public teet). Looks like Matt Zone is looking for campaign contributions. He's learned well from his parents, both also members of the council.
  24. I get it - those right wing trolls were devoted to poisoning the well at every chance, and you need to pull the plug at some point - but damn I'm going to miss the comments during Indians games.
  25. Brought to you by the TJ Dow camp of corrupt logic.
