  1. It sure seemed easier to get to Tremont in those days.
  2. Uh oh... that doesn't sound promising.
  3. Is it gated off?
  4. Can you walk from the Amtrak station to Tower City? I've been reviewing Google Maps and Earth, and it looks like you have to walk on the freeway for a little while to get to W3. That can't be right.

So after watching the "US" trailer for the 10th time - good god does it look good - I think it's safe to say this movie exists in the Marvel Cinematic universe. You hear me Jordan, I figured it out! It seems pretty obvious what happened. After Thanos killed half of the universe, M'Baku and Nakia come together in the midst of the trauma and tragedy. They survived for a reason, life is short and precious, and besides, the two are tired of living in the mountains and... working in espionage(?) The two decide to start over, let Shuri run the country, and move to the States. Fast forward 13 years, the two have taken on American identities and accents, have two children completely unaware of their Wakandian pasts, head to the beach to see Tim Heidecker (who wouldn't?). And as shown in the previews, the next few days the family is terrorized and battles their dopplegangers (perhaps that's Reality's way of repairing Thanos' damage. He killed half the universe, so Reality is doubling the existing population with dopplegangers in order to level off). Remember, Reality is an actual sentient humanoid entity in the Marvel universe. It wants to survive just as much as anyone. And THAT is why Nakia is wearing the Infinity Gauntlet with the gems on the movie poster. Am I wrong? Google and see it for yourself. It's so obvious! Sorry for spoiling the movie guys.
  6. There is nothing but cheap housing surrounding and within University Circle with only a handful of luxury apartments. God forbid Cleveland has at least a couple nice places in the surrounding sea of foreclosures and low income housing all over Hough, Glenville, Fairfax. Woodhill and East Cleveland. Those protesters are complete jackases.
  7. Kind of like that McDonalds in Ohio City issue. A waste of a signature and energy.

I just thought it was a hyper beautiful, honest and provocative performance that has now made me interested in interpretive dance and ballet. I can't think of many scenes in television programs that had such an impact I'm interested in what's still such an alien field. And contrast it to the typical Sunny goofiness - it just makes the scene even more powerful.
  9. All that BS about not poaching local and regional businesses. Sigh... just a ritzier Oakwood Commons. F' em.

The Haunting of Hill House has been a lot of fun to watch. Very tense and scary.
  11. From the outside, sure. But buildings need to be repurposed when they're unused. If there's a market for dirt bike racing or whatever those fools do, and the city can economize it, and the building is being underutilized or unused (I have no clue the calendar), then bring on DMX shows.

https://www.cleveland.com/news/2018/11/shaker-heights-school-district-cancels-professional-days-offers-grief-counseling-after-teacher-killed.html Congratulations Frank. Another win for City Hall
  13. Actually, that's not the worst idea.

Holy god the last minutes of Sunny... one of the greatest television segments of all time, especially if you know the show and its characters. I'm still speechless.
  15. I'm just glad this October is over (Apple earnings tomorrow). What a mess, very reminiscent of the large drops after the first quarterly earning reports this year - and those weren't bad either despite the large-scale fluctuations during and after. A good balance of owning tech stocks, Dow 30, mutual funds (let's say Blackrock to be conservative), fully funded Roth IRA and 401k,, and above all PROPERTY, and you should be in decent shape. Unless you look at international bonds, meh, I wouldn't bother holding money there.

Ant Man and Wasp was absolutely hilarious. It may be my favorite post 2007 Marvel film Punisher War Zone still my number 1
  17. I believe it went something like this... mumble, mumble, mumble, Dirt Bikes, mumble, mumble, Al Qaeda in Public Square, mumble, mumble, mumble, Cleveland is Booming, mumble, mumble, mumble, Cleveland is Failing, mumble, mumble, mumble, Don't Mention My Nephew... Something to that effect.
  18. Well... good luck to them then. I have a lot of wonderful memories at Richmond Mall and would hate to see it go the way of the Euclid's or Randall's.
  19. Gentrification is probably the reason why NYC and LA have seen such massive drops in crime the last 15 years; the poor just can't afford the rent or property taxes. But in all honesty Cleveland hasn't had any significant gentrification, and the investment its seen is limited to parts of a handful of neighborhoods. As such its crime numbers are pretty consistent with little blips or troughs here and there.

I thought iGeneration was catching on?
  21. It'll take some getting used to, and I'm having a few hiccups with mobile, but overall I really like the new interface. You guys did a great job.
  22. There really is no one reason why crime is up. There are a lot of damaged and horrible people out there with ample opportunity to destroy. It's just a fact of life, and American society is both unwilling and unable to come to a consensus on making those numbers manageable and comparable to Western European rates.
  23. Definitely good seeing all that development in Pittsburgh. It's one hell of an underrated city.
