^^if someone is beating you in an unwarranted attack, any response, even shooting them, is their own fault. One unlucky hit or weirdly angled fall is all it takes for you to be a vegetable; the body can be frail sometimes. Just speaking pragmatically. Legal ramifications, if any, can wait until you're safe.
  2. Man, I feel that's being very optimistic. Very. My unfortunate hunch: the failures of the Galleria and Tower City have been so demoralizing to potential tenants that, in addition to the overall regressing retail scene nationwide, never mind our stagnated/decreasing downtown labor force, that we are not getting any retail brick and mortar beyond potential first floor retail for new/converted residential buildings and the (generally) rent-free small shops in the three arcades. Tower City Outlets (think Fashion Outlets by Rosemont near O'Haire) would be amazing - hell, let them all stay rent free outside of utilites and security compensations - but I don't know, There are real systemic problems that are clearly scaring off retailers. Apartment conversions just aren't enough for the required foot traffic to warrant that kind of development.
  3. It would have been entirely different standalone building, if I recall.

Man you are on a ROLL today
  6. ^Exactly. Amazon isn't a charity folks. Always follow the population growth, as momentum breeds more momentum.
  7. Poor Dairy Queen:( I get sad every I go past the LoanMax, or whatever it's called.
  8. Hat's off to Columbus. They have a well educated, relatively low crime, fair COLA city, and deserve a coup like Amazon. My gut screams Boston, but it's good seeing Columbus rewarded for making the cut.
  9. Good grief: DOW: 26,115.65 (+5.65% YTD) NASDAQ: 7,298.28 (+ 5.68% YTD) S&P 500: 2,800.14 (+4.79% YTD) NYSE: 13,359.60 (+4.28% YTD)
  10. Well... it is San Diego after all, as close to an ideal city for many as it gets in the U.S. Why waste a beautiful day watching football there when you can go to their zoo, gaslight district, that famous hotel and island, day trip to Mexico, etc.
  11. ^^^Ashburn??? LOL, not on your life.

Now that is a guy who really shouldn't receive any medical attention. A complete scumbag.
  13. Damn, hell of a first two weeks for 2018: DOW: 25,803.19 (+4.39% YTD) NASDAQ: 7,264.08 (+5.35% YTD) S&P 500: 2,787.35 (+4.26% YTD) NYSE: 13,298.69 (+3.82% YTD)

So will Casey Affleck introduce Best Actress in this year's Oscars, and will James Franco attend if/when he gets nominated? I say no to the first- it would be poetic if Brie Larson introduced the Best Actress instead of that animal - and yes, Franco will show up to a chorus of general silence from the hypocrites in the audience. Well, maybe his brother will applaud, unless he grows a pair by then.

Frankly, the team should have been put under receivership once this rebate shit became public. Why don't those morals requirements, which are unenforced anyway; see Big Ben, Vick, Coleman, for players apply to owners as well?
  17. Being acquired is selling out?
  18. Not a bad start to the year: DOW: 25,295.87 up 2.33% YTD NASDAQ: 7,136.56 up 3.38% YTD S&P 500: 2,742.33 up 2.57% YTD NYSE: 13,099.15 up 2.27% YTD
  19. Just as a note, Shaker Towne Square (that Shaker Heights retail plaza on Chagrin) is fully leased. It still may not be financially viable, but I suspect it probably is. Also, isn't the upgrade to Van Aken exactly what you are asking for? A development to an existing retail center? I think if that does well then University square may be able to use that in part of their pitch to change around that shopping center. I had heard differently about Shaker Towne Square, but I'll defer to you. As for Van Aken, I'm a huge fan of the project and think there is unlimited potential. It's an existing retail plaza with direct rapid connections downtown, the kind of revitalization project that the region should be investing in, not the zero sum game of a Pinecrest.
  20. Service industry is getting murdered this and last week due to the abnormal weather.
  21. Good grief that was immersive! And I really liked the slanted shot that straightened the cars. Nice visual.

So if Rosen is drafted but refuses to play for the Browns, does his agent work with the team to trade him elsewhere before camp? How much is he part of that process?

I am so sick of this f'ing cold but when the sun comes out, everything looks very pretty. But these windchills at night (negative 20-30) are BRUTAL.
  24. As long as the rich are prospering, the market has a very good chance of doing the same. But when either starts bleeding like in 08, then all hell breaks loose with the other.
  25. The last thing the east side suburbs needs are more retail. Look at Severance, University Square, Oakwood (a bigger cancer than Pinecrest), City View, Legacy Village, Eastgate, Pavilion, Mentor, Richmond, Eton, where the dollar theater was in Willoughby Hills, both Cedar Centers, that unfinished plaza on Miles/Brainard in Solon, Van Aken, Shaker Square (yeah, I know it's Cleveland technically), that Shaker Heights retail plaza on Chagrin, Golden Gate, and it goes on and on and on and on. Virtually all save for Eton are struggling financially and with tenant shortages as it is. The east side needs development to happen in the existing retail centers. With a stagnating/decreasing metro population, the region does not gain s*** with Pinecrest as a whole, only additional empty storefronts. Good for the developers, bad for Greater Cleveland.
