(Educated) millennials may be spending money on supposed luxuries like smart phones and eating out, but they are spending a lot less on mortgages and child care (and all associated costs) than prior generations because.. they simply aren't buying homes and having children to the degree as prior generations. Those are a lot of avoided costs that far outweigh iphone bills and the occasional avocado on toast.

Cleveland is still smarting from extortions like the Browns deal, the Medical Mart nightmare of lies, and Gilbert's standalone casino, I mean Phase 2 casino, has been on radio silence for years now after a few dishonest tweets. If losing 1000 seats and adding a few restaurants and glass wall magically "modernizes" the stadium, and now the Cavs leave in 2027, well, it's not like the city was getting S**t in property taxes anyway. There has to be a limit on corporate welfare.

Loving certain books can be bittersweet and frustrating. Caleb Carr invented this amazing late 19th century NYC universe in the Alienist (my favorite book) and Angel of Darkness (not as good but still highly enjoyable) - and that's it. He's written other books but there are no rumors of continuing this series, and don't get me started on that abomination of a televised series. The less said about that nonsense the better. It is so frustrating falling in love with these characters, their quirks, the occassional cameo of real historical figures, and seeing a New York and culture in the midst of massive changes and reforms. And that is all we got; in a way I feel cheated despite the illogic.

Loyalty goes both ways, of which there really isn't any in this business. Players should not be held to higher standards of loyalty than owners.

United and American Airlines are also hitting those sub-$150 numbers. Google flights has been a pretty good resource for cheap and reasonable fares.

Is it just me, or is airfare getting pretty cheap. Look at all the $100+ fares from Hopkins roundtrip to Chicago. I'm flying my dad to Chicago for $116.40 roundtrip. Last year it was almost $300!

Does it bug anyone else when someone is flossing in the bathroom. I find it revolting and annoying.

This isn't a new development by any means, as it's been open for 5 years or so, but Ohio City Cigars on Lorain is a fantastic cigar lounge and deserves a lot of love. The membership dues aren't too bad (the lounge is free 12-4 on Sundays), there are a number of fun networking events, and they have pretty solid smoke-eaters so you don't leave too smoky. One of the better lounges I've ever visited frankly, though the selection is a little limited.
