They really are....but my god they get old pretty quickly too. And I'm trying to stay from sodium so I get the bland kind. There must be something else out there. Veggies chips? Raisins and prunes? Kaleballs? Maybe I'll try baby carrots. I feel a package could last a week.

What else is there to eat all day without getting fat and spending a lot of money? I'm always hungry and have been consuming salt free nuts and sugar free gum for years, but there have got to be healthy (or at least not unhealthy) and cheap alternatives.

The city has and still lauds Jim Brown despite his propensity for beating and trying to kill women (never mind his antisemitism). We have a long way to go.
  4. shhh. you never let the dealer see the third hand. You wanna play 21, well I got 22.
  5. Cincinnati Music Hall is looking stunning!
  6. forums.skyscraperpage.com is pretty thorough. I must peruse that site a solid hour a day. What's happening in New York in New York is in particular shocking; my god they must have 100s of projects.
  7. On the one hand, cool. On the other hand, Forest City really doesn't seem to give a s-hit about Cleveland
  8. The larger plot still is a difficult-to-access tent city with lots of drug paraphernalia. Haven't heard about any violent incidents though.
  9. http://www.chicagoarchitecture.org/2016/09/13/riverline-chicagos-next-big-community-breaks-ground-in-the-south-loop/ http://chicago.curbed.com/2016/9/13/12897772/chicago-construction-south-loop-riverline-development-groundbreaking That relates to the 14 acre project of which 8 buildings, a redone shoreline, parks and retail will arise. It's called Riverline. http://chicago.curbed.com/2016/9/7/12830462/development-news-chicago-spire-south-loop-related-midwest This relates to the larger, unnamed project.
  10. Arguably the largest project in the country (really a combo of two adjacent, interconnected developments) began in Chicago yesterday. In total the two projects will include 76 acres of utterly unused land in the south loop (whereas New York's Hudson Yards project is 28 acres), and extends from Harrison all the way to 18th street, in between the river and Wells. Groundbreaking of first phase of the project started yesterday (it'll encompass 14 acres) and will end with eight buildings, parks, retail, etc, from Harrison to Roosevelt). I don't know when/if groundbreaking has been scheduled for the 62 acres portion (Roosevelt to basically Chinatown), probably not, but it's all moving forward and will absolutely redefine the south loop and city as a whole. Very exciting stuff.
  11. Cleveland will be in the 370,000 range and East Cleveland well under 15,000 by the 2020 census. The fabled 400,000 people = more federal funding doesn't appear likely in the near future.
  12. I don't know about all that, but the RTA people at Tower City have for years been ornery and unpleasant. I remember last year I got yelled at for not knowing the trains were not running and that I should take a shuttle outside. Hell of a way to start your day.

The Illinois National Guard is going to Afghanistan this week, yet the governor says he won't put them on Chicago streets. F that guy.

I can't speak to those other companies, but in the electronic discovery review world (a.k.a. doc review), Robert Half a.k.a. Robert Half 'n Half is notorious for being at the bottom of the barrel in terms of low-balling wages and overall work atmosphere. I've had 3 separate assignments with them the last 5 years. F those guys.
  15. And Chicago is most likely losing the famous Macy's at the Marshall Field's building. The one on Michigan Avenue is staying put.
  16. Holy s-hit that was amazing
  17. Butts in seats is irrelevant. I'm sure the Browns had pretty decent attendance and they still left. There are far more important factors with relocating teams.
  18. The same damn conversation every year, and it goes nowhere each time. If the Indians get rid of dynamic pricing bullshit, then watch the sales skyrocket. If the team goes deep into the playoffs, then hello 2017 attendance. If companies start buying season tickets again, then boom goes the attendance. If the Browns go away again, then huzzah, hello better numbers. If the season is drastically shortened, then here come the sellouts. Over and over again the same complaints about attendance with the same answers always applying.
  19. Rookie of the Year!
  20. How many law firms in Beachwood or Chagrin Highlands are walking distance from wherever you'd suggest building the county jail, common pleas court, police headquarters, and whatever else the Justice Center hosts. Lame lame LAME fake anger there.
  21. .
  22. Sounds like it's going to be excruciatingly costly whether the city renovates or outright rebuilds. Painful decision no matter what.

People who claim Superman is Jewish simply because his creators were and there are some allegories to Moses. That's like saying Wonder Woman is male because her creators were and there are allegories to Achilles. Such a stupid trope.
  24. Plenty of junkies and derelicts ride and sleep on public transportation in New York and Chicago -- but this is a rare extreme. Usually it doesn't get worse than some guy masturbating

    Perhaps cold weather too
