I've had an Indians 95 feeling really. Getting into the finals substantially outweighs the frustration of them losing. And that's still a long ways away

I remember partying at Coventry, then West 6 that night. The vibe of the city was off the charts. The Cavs were at XO after the game too, which was pretty neat.

  8. Why would the PD/Cleveland.com publish this s###? http://www.cleveland.com/opinion/index.ssf/2015/05/look_out_cleveland_a_humorists.html#incart_river Let's remake Cleveland into a GOP paradise for RNC 2016: Paul Giglia (Opinion) There is a time and place for criticism of the GOP and their conduct and behavior the last 8 (going on 25) years. But this article makes cleveland.com, and frankly Cleveland, look bad, lame and pathetic. It should not have been published.

  10. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-man-arrested-after-firing-gun-inside-megabus-on-i90-20150513-story.html Now that is scary. This is reminiscent of an unnerving Chicago-Cleveland Greyhound incident last month where a psycho was running up and down the aisle screaming for his neighbor to sit somewhere else. F words and N words at full volume. Complete maniac. The bus driver had to pull over and threaten to turn around as the people by me and I were about to jump on the freak. He was truly menacing and distracting the driver and everyone on the highway at night. Very unfortunate scene, though thankfully uncommon, and the nutter did settle down. Guess these things happen once in a blue moon.
  11. Lax & Mandel in South Euclid is closing due to the owner's declining health and $100,000 in debt. It doesn't hold a candle to the original Cleveland Hts branch but still a disappointment for the orthodox community. The owner said there are two prospective buyers, one of whom is a local, so I guess that's something.
  12. My dad is nuts for Corner Bakery; he's very happy about the news. Hint: after 11am most of them throw in a free bagel or muffin after purchasing one.
  13. The Factory of Sadness video was pretty good
  14. No, not really. It sucks they closed, and the owners put a ton of hope and determination and financial sacrifice into expanding their business downtown. The other thing that really sucks is people's cavalier attitudes when businesses like this fail.
  15. Well, the "journalists" at cleveland.com are at their finest today. Not only was there a front page NONSTORY about a girl who didn't get an offer from a biotech job (which is hardly newsworthy) but now there is a SECOND front page article, and a scheduled forum no less to discuss this situation. Dress professionally for an Interview or don't show up, even if everyone there is wearing t-shirts and jeans, and do not whine about it on the Internet if you want a good job someday - there, controversy settled. http://www.cleveland.com/tipoff/index.ssf/2015/04/sexism_or_millennial_petulance.html#comments Inventing a scandal is all this shitrag has going for it, and it's about as newsworthy as LEBRON BABY MOMMA SHARON REED
  16. The Budishes are wonderful people. Give them the benefit of the doubt.
  17. I'm at the Greyhound station twice a month. Folks, it isn't that grand or vintage or cool.

It's dishonest and cheap and shameful. They openly pulled those tactics in 02 and I was furious then too, regardless of getting LeBron as a result. No different than the Olympics scandal: http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/badminton/story/_/id/8221408/2012-london-olympics-eight-badminton-players-disqualified-trying-lose-matches

If they threw the game, then the team should reimburse all fans for parking and ticket prices. I hate that s-hit
  20. Coffee Phix has finally reopened in South Euclid. It's been almost a year and in a new location in the Marc's strip mall on Mayfield. Not quite as charming as the previous location but a quality independent coffee shop. The community helped a lot too with donations; this business isn't easy
  21. Quite the slap on the wrist there.
  22. He's a drunk who wants to be mayor. Not much more to him that that.
  23. "Escort her to the ground". I still can't get over that phrase. And multiple men with confusing police power piling on top of a woman late at night, and with her clothes pulled down. Unbelievable. I've seen some customers exhibit horrible behavior on the trains and buses - loud music, swearing, n-words, threatening and intimidating passengers - and they're always left unscathed. But because she didn't show her pass in the right manner and was ornery, she gets traumatized and assaulted. Unbelievable.
  24. ^^you don't tackle a non-threatening woman over two bucks late at night, no matter her attitude. This guy should be in jail, and RTA should pay big time. "Escort her to the ground"? Jesus, when did common sense and proportionate response become obselete
  25. Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles = bad Chicago Chicken & Waffles = not as bad Makes sense to me
