CLEVELAND - Welcome to Collinwood, Bratenahl and Detroit-Shoreway
Very nice. You took many of those right in my old hood where I grew up (E151 by Shore Acres).

Thanks so much. I separated the 360 degree image because I am sure no one noticed it wedged in there..lol The panos are much more detailed than they appear this size. Check my flickr page if you want to see the originals (and the imperfections with them...lol)

Garfield Monument balcony -- Yea _ shoot there, but it's a bit far. Parking garages at University Hospitals - Hmmm Never tried that one. New lounge on the top floor of the Clinic's Heart and Vascular building - I'll have to check that out. Thanks Parking garage at Cleveland Clinic (East 93rd and Euclid) - Top floor of Rhodes Tower, CSU -- Good idea. I wonder what access you have to the windows there. Plus it is through glass ;) The area near St. Lukes Pointe (former St. Lukes Hospital) -- Hmmmmm.. And occasionally the Goodtime III will head east of downtown but not always -- Yea, I took some from there that were pretty neat. Thanks for those tips! Don't wait for the weather...It's always a good time for photos!

Cleveland Pics this Winter
Thanks. You can't get the skyline from the Eastern part (unless you are on a building or somewhere) as easily. If you are by the lake, then I-90 is in the way. From the west, the city is viewable from places like Edgewater because of the curve of the shoreline. I've tried shooting from the east, but I can't really find anywhere that's reasonably close to shoot from.

The last one was taken in the Rocky River Reservation looking north from under the I-90 bridge area.

South Euclid, Ohio: a low-profile mid-century suburb on the edge
Excellent post and information about South Euclid. Nice photos of street life there.

Chicago
Here is a skyline photo I took in Chicago. It's a 16 photo stitch (8x2). I didn't have a tripod and I had my camera laying on my backpack. It was very very windy also... so it could have been clearer.

I believe that more and more of the scaffolding has been coming off recently. Hopefully soon.... been working on that for a while. How long did it take to build the tower? ;)

I'm guessing if "some" are X's then it's a computer problem. (Low memory, HD Space, Slow internet provider.....) If all were X's, then possibly an IE setting. Have you tried Firefox also?

Thanks for the info. Opps! I meant to say that Rockefeller Avenue Bridge. The link above is the google map of the location. I had it right the post with the thread. I will fix my original. Sorry. here is a link I found about that bridge: http://www.historicbridges.org/ohio/rockefeller/index.htm

Thanks! I was wondering the same thing myself. Obviously tracks were there, but they aren't now. Did they scrap the rails? I might try to "go down there" at some point to look around.

Good stuff there. Looks like a missed a good time at Winterfest.

Thanks. The 2nd and 3rd are from the Rockefeller Avenue bridge. See the link I posted above. I had never been there until a few weeks ago, and it's an interesting view. If you go there, bring a milk crate because the wall is about 6 ft high and you won't be able to see over it well.

Thanks. #6 was taken from the Rockefeller Bridge. (Closed). No tripod, just had my camera on the high wall. First time I was actually there and it's a great view. Will have to go back during daylight! #1 was taken from the west end of the same bridge.

Nice photos. I know it's not the happening neighborhood in Cleveland, but people do live there, and it's good that you shot some pics down there. It is what it is, a poorer working class / ethnic neighborhood.

Cleveland Pics - First Post
Thanks! I have that framed (about 48in by 12 in) with a nice mat on my living room wall ;) I really want to retake it with a better sky though and when the Terminal Tower is done. Note it was taken just before the scaffolding went up ;)

More Cleveland Pics
Thanks! I really think it's one of my best. Although I must admit I saw someone else take a pic from the same spot and used B&W, and I wanted to try that location. I believe I was standing on the double yellow line. ;) I shot all different apertures from that location. Well.... not usually unless I am shooting sunset pics or just after sunset. Although the shot from Hope I did set out when there was good light/sky for sure.
