Cleveland: Neighborhood Tour – Historic Ohio City
Definitely a Hall of Fame thread. But I may be biassed, being a third generation native of Ohio City. My mother and I were born in Lutheran Hospital when it still had Labor and Delivery. My grandmother was born in a house just off W. 25th St.

CLEVELAND - Clearly... (Updated 11/14/10)
I can't decide which one I want for my desktop. Mayday, your shots just keep getting better. Thanks a lot ...

Muncie, Indiana
It has that Midwestern look that I never thought I would miss. Cleaner, neater than cities in the South and West. Thanks for sharing the third tier cities with us Ink. I have passed by Munciemany times but have never stopped. Have to bring up this old Chestnut again ....

Saginaw, Michigan
Thanks Ink. Next I'm looking forward to your photo tour Zachariahdaman. Missing the Midwest on a sultry Sunbelt Sunday ...

Saginaw, Michigan
Saginaw is not all ghostly. Northandre's shadow downtown on the West Side is still alive. Downtown Saginaw was still a destination when I was a kid in the 70s. My native California wife fell in love with Saginaw, so we try to visit whenever we make it back to Michigan.

Franklin Park, Columbus
How much does a decent (not too much fixing up) house go for in this area?

Is UrbanOhio addicting?
Wow. I used to feel bad that I spent over a week of my life on this website, any website as a matter of fact ...

Is UrbanOhio addicting?
When I first joined UrbanOhio, I was definitely addicted to it. At that time, it had just recently expanded from a Cincinnati Website to an all Ohio one. It was small, I recognized every member, and I remember when one of us older members chided the new whippersnapper "Inkaelin" for chiming in on every thread. I'm glad you weren't chased away, Ink. Nowadays, I check most Cleveland threads, other threads that pique my interest, anything by Jeffery (and now also anything on Dayton, a city I am fascinated with because of UO), anything by Rob, Mayday, Ink, or Zachariah da man. My interest peaked around the time we came up with our own UO City in Pomeroy County -- what was it called again? I still check UO every few days, and look forward to meeting some of you guys when I ever get back to my native state. (I am a Third Generation native of Ohio City, on Cleveland's fabulous West Side ...) Conover Court is an alley in Cleveland that runs parallel to Madison near my mother's childhood home. -- Donald

Somerset, Ohio
Cute town. Thanks for taking the time to post these shots, Ink.

New Concord, Ohio
Thanks for showing these small towns that one definitely does not associate with Urban Ohio.

If you had the resources, how would you improve Cleveland?
I would buy out Dillard's, and make them open a Higbee's in TC where it belongs.

What do you think of when you hear - "Dayton, Ohio"?
Actually, I thought abcsolutely nothing about Dayton, before I joined Urban Ohio. But Jeff's detailed posts over the years had really made it sound appealing to me. Perhaps, Dayton should cast its lot with Cincinnati, and focus on being a key center in a region that is central to a huge chunk of the American population.
