  1. They havent even put the friggin sign yet. I'm dissappointed :?
  2. Anybody got any pics of the progress of the Banks, haven't been down there in a while.
  3. Meh! They're both good. I prefer Sherman's shot from Devou more because the night sky is black and you get a feel for the city's whole skyline. The other one although truly spectacular, is too exposed. I don't like it as much as I would had it not been so bright. I love the angle and the way QCS looks in that pic however.
  4. Lol...that's been the center piece of complaints against the tiara from its completion. It is a very dull piece of architecture that's for sure.
  5. The new lighting on QCS:
  6. OMG you guys are absolutely hilarious! That parrot in the GAT is priceless. I hope the big guys see this. The tiara is a joke, until they get the lighting fixed on it. But in the day it won't be worth while since the bird will just appear to be sitting on top of the building if cage is invisible.
  7. Thanks Great American Tower by Intermodal Photos, on Flickr
  8. Some photos from today...the site is really sprawling. I'm impressed with the progress so far:
  9. Pic from today:
  10. Damn you...you beat me to it... Guys they may light the tiara like this?
  11. These are from devou. I don't know what else you're talking about though lol.
  12. They aren't really done with the tiara enclosure yet, are they? This is what I keep telling myself and other people. The building and the birdcage don't look aesthetically connected. They're not done...lol they still have to put the signage up. Also, all this talk about enclosing the Tiara, why would you enclose the birdcage when you have the Cooling tower and stuff on top? Doesn't that stuff have to vent into the outside air? I would imagine it would be unbearably hot up there if it were enclosed in glass? I don't think it's feasible to enclose the Tiara.
  13. These pictures were all taken from Devou Park, in Kentucky. But the picture with parallel lines are relative and not a true measure of size comparison between the two. The land actually slopes so QCS sits lower than Carew tower. Therefore this isn't a very accurate depiction of the building's relative height since they're not on a planar surface. Standing next to QCS you can feel the height of it verses the feel of Carew tower. The building is massive. But from a distance it does appear shorter.
